Need suggestions for Seat and Steering Wheel Covers.

I love the carhart seatsaver covers. They are a tad pricey but I have had mine for 4 years, I take them off and wash them a couple times a year. They still look brand new, they fit perfectly, and assuming you like 1 of the 2 color options, they check all of your boxes...

    seat repair options

I really like the Covercraft Carhart seat covers. https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/product/carhartt-seatsaver-custom-seat-covers.SSC-SSCA Very durable, easy to remove and wash, we used them in our fleet of trucks at an electrical contractor and they held up well there so should handle...

Asking those who have done their own paint job at home

I painted a truck in the driveway using rattlecans, it was terrible, would never do it again. Small section maybe, but not the whole vehicle. If you have the gear for an HVLP setup then that will make it a lot easier. Prep is everything, plan to spend 10x as much time/effort prepping vs...

Pulled inectors.... Hard plastic lower o-ring?

comes with the injector, I would think you could reuse the hard plastic piece assuming you can get it out intact that is.

I might be doing something dumb to an 02 kj....

update to let yall know i got some confirmation from Dorman on their rad fan CFM's According to Dorman tech support: Dorman Part#621-018 (HD COOLING ELECTRIC FAN) moves 32.23 CMM which is 1,138 CFM Dorman Part#620-053 (NON-HD ELECTRIC FAN) moves 76 CMM which is 2,684 CFM. This makes sense to...

    2002 jeep liberty

I know the 02 was a weird model year for some things, lots of early production run changes. I believe the TCM and PCM need to be programmed with the same VIN in order to work properly. So either both modules will have to get moved over, or you will have to take one in for reprogramming.

I might be doing something dumb to an 02 kj....

The aftermarket radiators aren't terrible, but they are not all created equal. This unit lasted me 6 years, and at the time i purchased I remember it saying it was an "improved design" (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=499658&cc=1432214&pt=2172&jsn=9). It did not crack/leak on the...

    Cooling Fan

You have the HD cooling package installed. The fan shroud is a PITA to work around no doubts, but this cooling package is the best factory option for preventing high engine temps. you can certainly "downgrade" but I would only do so out of necessity. You would remove the mechanical fan and...

In Search Of ISO Mopar OEM Liberty KJ Gray Pebble Tear Cargo Mat Liner Tray

Good luck, in case you cant find one, weathertech makes some awesome floor and cargo mats, shaped perfectly (but missing those anchor point cutouts unfortunately).

Crazy idea for a spare transmission

$2k is only worth it if the rest of the jeep is pristine, or it has something more rare going for it (renegade gear complete and good condition, very little rust if any, and unmolested otherwise). Whenever I am looking at a mechanic special like this, I feel out the seller though, sometimes you...

    P0203 Code

compression/leakdown checks? Are you using the NGK copper plugs? Mine (and others on here) did not like the iridium plugs I tried, misfired quite a bit, but not just 1 cylinder. If you are using the proper plugs, and have swapped the injector and coil, but the codes remain the same, I would...

Bypass transfer case to have it rebuilt

I am staring down the same job, and the best plan I can come up with is to get a junkyard t-case. If you can get a lower mileage/better condition junkyard unit then I would rebuild it and do the swap. If you get a questionable origin junkyard unit, then I would swap it in, make sure it...

    2006 Sport Wheels Not Round?

^ is the methond I know to check it yourself and you can also check for play in wheel bearings same time. Alternatively, you can take it to a tire shop should be able to spin up on their balance machine and tell you if anything is out of round at all with the wheel or the tire.

Any suggestions on where to buy CV Axles for KJ 2006????

Seconding napa (new though, NOT remanufactured), I beat the heck out of mine in the rocky desert and no issues. 5 years going strong with the lift and everything. My opinion of remanufactured parts has slid in recent years so I try to avoid them at all costs, they just don't remanufacture like...

2 threaded holes on the back of the cylinder block

Generally speaking you dont want copper to be directly on aluminum without corrosion protection. the ground straps are not copper where they touch the aluminum and therefore totally fine. No problem with grounding from to or through aluminum in general, the issue is galvanic corrosion created...

    WHOAH NELLIE!!!

I had one of the wheel sensor wires rub against the tire and start shorting. It did all kinds of weird things, and the code it ended up throwing was for steering angle comparative which sent me down a nightmare rabbit hole with the clockspring. luckily I got some advice about this before I...

    antifreeze/coolant question

repeated flushing with plain water and then install the zerex G05. Im in the "use the OEM spec" camp. You might be able to get away with using whatever "universal", but as a chemical engineer and industrial maintenance planner, I see situations like this backfire on the regular and it usually...

How to diagnose a bad front diff?

yes, whenever you drive the jeep, the front diff spins because there is nothing decoupling it from the tires. In days of yore 4 wheel drives had locking hubs on the front wheels, but our jeeps do not have these so they are always engaged. I would be looking into the driveshaft you added as...
