    Belly Pan Skid Plates

Thanks for all the feedback! I need new hardware for my transfer case skid plate as the ones I pulled from the salvage yard are just not holding up too well. I have been looking for a transmission skid plate but have yet to find one. I live in Virginia and shipping from Detroit (or really...

Misfire mystery with my 2005 Jeep Liberty

I had a multiple cylinder misfire code and it turned out to be a bad upstream O2 sensor. If you can check the voltage output of each sensor and see if there is a problem.

    Belly Pan Skid Plates

I have seen quite a few Wranglers with a full belly pan skid plate set up and was wondering if anything could be fabricated for the Liberty. I have searched online for something pre-made but there is nothing for my 2007 other than the engine, transmission and transfer case skid plates. My...

    New Member- 05 Liberty

The paint looks like it is in better shape than mine. You might want to do some painting of the underbody with some rust preventing paint. I also have the Torque app and a Panlong mini OBDII adapter.

    Transmission issues

I bought a transmission pan with a drain plug from Rock Auto to make future drain and fills easier. I used the Seafoam trans tune before I removed the pan and changed the filter and I swear I felt it when some gunk got knocked loose. Risoline makes a transmission additive product that I have...

    Cat back exhaust

I got a Walker brand when I had to replace everything from the headers back. Sounds a bit louder than stock and was a good price from Rockauto.

    Help on Catalytic converter replacement

Oops, I missed that last line. Dang, if you were closer I would come over and do it all for you. Okay, so I would recommend that once you get the replacement parts, disconnect everything from the end of the Y pipe back to the muffler. Pull all that off so that you have room to slide the Y...

    Help on Catalytic converter replacement

I had to replace everything from the headers back and bought Walker cats and muffler from Rockauto. It all came in two boxes and I removed the old and put on the new in an afternoon. There are not that many bolts and I am sure there is a youtube video that details everything.

Where are the safest points to put a jack and jack stands on a 2003 Jeep Liberty KJ?

If you put the Jeep up on ramps to change the oil everything behind the oil filter will get everywhere. There is enough room for me to scoot underneath without jacking it up and change the oil. Mine is not lifted and has year old shocks and struts.

2004 Liberty found in driveway when I moved vehicle

Looks like an exhaust bolt to me. I have never seen one that rusted before. You might want to have that Jeep undercoated.

PCM? Valves? Sensor? Any other guesses?

Check the O2 sensors as well- when one of my upstream O2 sensors went bad it threw the same code. I also suggest running some Techron or Berryman B12 through it (Gumout makes my Jeep stall) and drive it on a highway for a while. I bought a Bluetooth OBD2 connector from Amazon and use it with...

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

I do not have the list but you might be able to do a general Google search for it instead of searching each site individually. My 2007 has drive by wire so it was an easy change. From what I read, the intake manifold for the 4.7L is the same as the 3.7- with the extra cylinder of course...

Fastman versus Hipotek - Bored out Throttle Body

You could also get a used 4.7L throttle body. There is a list of compatible engines on either this site or Lostjeeps. I got mine from a local parts dealer and it works just fine.

    My 2007 Liberty

Looks good. I really like that color. I have not lifted mine yet but I did put on a different set of tires. Those Goodyear Wranglers would spin on a dry road and felt like they would roll onto the sidewall when I turned. Since I put on the new kicks, the handling is so much better.

    Catalytic Converters

Rockauto only sold the non-Carb cats. Northern VA has emissions testing but where I live does not so I did not have to buy the Carb compliant ones. The Y-pipe was separated but it goes together with a slip joint and held with a C clamp. I did go ahead and replace both downstream O2 sensors...

    Catalytic Converters

I had to replace my cats after they failed and I bought a Pacesetter Y-pipe with non-Carb compliant cats. I got them from Rockauto for a good price. The instillation was easy- getting the stock ones off was a bear as the clips holding the cats to the headers had rusted. I ended up coating...

    DIY transmission flush?

There are a few videos out there changing out all the fluid for new fluid using the transmission cooler return line. The video I wanted had the tech put the transmission in neutral while the engine was running to cycle the fluid. It was on a Dodge Ram so it probably holds true for any Jeep...

    DIY transmission flush?

There are no special instructions in the 2007 owner's manual stating a relearn needs to be done o the PCM after a fluid/filter change. All it says is to use to proper fluid and Mopar filter. There is no specific mention of a fluid flush. It is just mentioned to drain and refill the fluid...

    DIY transmission flush?

You should report the shady stuff to FCA corporate. I would also ask corporate about having the crappy dealer comp you the cost to have a proper fluid flush done elsewhere.

    DIY transmission flush?

I found an old thread that talks about having the PCM reflashed after a transmission flush, but no clear decision of what to do if you just drop the pan and change the filters. http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f196/transmission-fluid-change-39720/
