The crank is a factory crank, hasn't been reworked. low mileage out of a wrecked liberty. I thought I read somewhere that the differences were with the block journals and the cranks were uniform. I guess I read it backwards. I will buy bearings to match the new to me crank and mic everything...
new head bolts, new connecting rod bolts, planned on changing the reluctor ring, i bought main bearings for the old crank that turned out to be bad, i'm just confused if the bearings match the crank or the journals in the block based on the lettering on the crank.
I'm doing a rebuild on a 03 3.7l heads redone and all new bearings. Tore the bottom end apart and crankshaft has some scoring on the 2 and 3 main bearing surfaces. Got a good low mileage used crank for a good price, looks flawless. I know about the select fit main bearings, my question is...
