Thank y’all for the help. I installed it, and I’m having the same problems I was having with the old unit. Don’t know if they sent a bad PCM or if the shop misdiagnosed what the issue was. ☹️ Guess I’ll be going to the dealership then
So I had to order a new PCM for my 06 Liberty. It came in but the last digit of the number is wrong. Mine was a 939AD and the one they sent was a 939AC. When I called they said it’s just a software update. I just wanted to make sure this is correct and not going to be a problem.
Thank you for...
Ok. I tried googling it. Wiki says, "The 42RLE comes in 2003.5+ Jeep Libertys......... the 42RLE has 13 bolts and a straight crossmember, ".
Anyone know if it's acute? Matches my 06 having 13 bolts.
It's gas. First kit the parts store sold me was the wrong one. It had the 15 holes. After I pulled the pan I saw it was the wrong size. But then I also saw how bad it was so it's going to the shop.
But anyway. It's a gas engine, but 13 bolts on the pan.
Looks like it's time to rebuild my 06 65th Anniversary Edition KJ. I want to make sure I have the right model number before I start calling around for pricing. It is an automatic and has 13 bolts in the oil pan. But maybe someone could post how to ID all the possible transmissions on the KJ so...
Not to mention that unless you have some sort of turn out to get the pipes out from under the passenger compartment, you have a potential for exhaust to get up into your cab with you and your passengers. Be careful there.
But he didn't do a good job, looked at his monstrosity, yelled "IT'S ALIVE", then realizing what he'd done, is trying to get rid of it fast as he can. :help!.gif:
"the truck can be driven on the road, but if you don't live in Lehigh bring a trailer."
So in other words, it "can" be driven on the road, but not very far.
They don't have the acceleration my Cherokee had stock. This V6 just doesn't do as good at getting a move on as that straight 6 did. Sometimes I wish I could just swap it out for the straight 6.
You hit all that? :mfr_omg: little concerned there bud. Hope you weren't to injured yourself afterwards.
Thanks. I'll look into it. I don't guess my front hitch will still bolt up with it, will it?
