    5x8 trailer behind a Liberty?

I read the "HOW TO: Tow Stuff" thread and it mentions that the Liberty comes with a transmission cooler. I was just wondering where it was located? Since I did not see it initially, I thought I did not have one or that it is part of the radiator assembly (I have seen a couple like that).

03 Liberty Renegade and new to Jeep too

Where do we fill out those details? I looked in "Editing Your Details" and "Editing Options" and "Your Profile" but did not find where you can add your vehicle details. Welcome, southernwake(welcome) I have an '02 Renegade in the same color, getting ready for a lift soon.

    Lifting a Daily Driver

That is what I have noticed - the common theme is people put their lift on, torque everything down and then find out you don't torque until the weight is back on the vehicle. So as we discuss lifting a Liberty, I learn what to do and not to do. This really helps. Thanks, everyone!

    The Great Debate

I have had the opposite experience on 2 of my own vehicles and a few that my dad and uncles had. The makes were Chevys, Fords, and Chryslers from the 80s and 90s. Trans fluid had not been changed in 75k to 100k miles. Did complete fluid flushes and none of the transmissions lasted more than 1k...

    Tire Calculators/Tire Information

Here is another calculator that I did not see listed in this thread: Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets - Wheel-Size.com What I like about it is you get a visual of what your setup will look like. You can also have your OEM and new setup side by side.

    OBD plug and play gauges

If you find that it works, let us know as I bet several Liberty owners would like to have the extra information available. I remember when cars had several gauges, including a voltage gauge instead of just an idiot battery light.

    The Great Debate

About a month ago as I went in for an oil change (live in an apartment, can't do things like that in the parking lot ) and the shop owner pointed out the the transmission was leaking from the pan. Had the pan pulled, both filters replaced, new gasket. Then just replace the lost...

    OBD plug and play gauges

I followed the link and then tried to see if it would work on a Liberty, but Jeep products were not listed. You might have pick a Dodge product with a 3.7L close to your Liberty's age. I was planning to get a couple extra gauges to monitor oil pressure and transmission oil temp. What I don't...

    Lifting a Daily Driver

Mine's an automatic. OK, since I am going with larger tires it sounds like 4.10s are the way to go. If I was thinking about a locker (ARB or Detroit TrueTrac) I'm guessing that would be the time to do that. I remember on a friends YJ he needed a slip yoke eliminator (SYE) kit, on the...

    Lifting a Daily Driver

Since I am planning larger tires, I should look into 4.10 gears? I know right now it runs 3.73s and when I go to the larger tires my speedometer will be incorrect. Will my gas mileage suffer because of the 3.73s? And will 4.10s help with that and get my speedometer closer to being correct?

Mike: 05 KJ in Kansas City

Welcome KJinKC! I recently replace my spark plugs using the how-to guide on this forum. Saved me a couple hundred dollars not having a shop do it. Plus, they were quoting me the wrong plugs

Best High Dollar and Low Dollar Mod You've Done

Best low dollar mod - spent $15 on NGK spark plugs and put them in by myself (with the how to on this forum) and saved $212 from what the auto shop wanted to charge me. Best high dollar - the lift kit I plan to purchase in the near future (within the next 3 weeks).

    Lifting a Daily Driver

Yeah, I'm going to post before and after pics. I will try to get pics of during. I did see a post about the JBA UCAs where someone (I think tommudd) had shown pictures of the holes in the fender well where the arms attach. The member removed the material to allow the arms to articulate...

    Differential Service

Haven't had a chance to under my Jeep again, but I was wondering about gearing. I currently have 3.73 (the diffs still have the tags on them plus I got the build sheet). Since I am going to lift and put bigger tires on I was wondering if I should get 4.10 gears for the diffs. I am planning...
