I'd go with a Jasper engine if you're planning to keep the Jeep. I bought a Chevy pickup a few years back that had a 350 Jasper engine in it. Great engine imo but unfortunately my neighbors tree fell on it. Had to put a windshield in it and drove it a little more. Never had a problem with it.

Had this issue with my '05 a few years ago. After spending money to get it towed home, later found a video on how to jump start them using one wire at the fuse box. Now I always carry a piece of wire with me just in case. You can Google videos of "how to".

Have the plastic guards on mine. Bought off eBay about 8 years ago and still look new...plus, they don't rust!

This is a new car wash and they had a $10 a month special with unlimited washes. I usually go to one nearer my house and this has never happened at it.

Thanks, I'm 77 so don't drive it that much. But like to keep everything working especially the a/c in July here in Kansas! Will check out some of your suggestions maybe next week if the heat breaks some and the humidity.

Thanks, it's always worked great til this year and I've not had the a/c serviced or freon added.

2005 Limited, 3.7 w/200k. A/C works great around town at lower speeds but barely cools at highway speeds. Jeep temp never gets hot. I have one of those tools that takes temperature and have checked at different points around engine compartment.
