Alright, here is an update. I serviced this transmission yesterday. Dropped the pan, drained the fluid, replaced filter, gasket, cleaned everything up and put it back together. Re-filled with 4 quarts of Castrol Transmax ATF +4. So... Still have the same issue. This transmission feels great...

I have a 2003 Liberty Sport with 198,000+ on the 3.7 L V6. Very minor issues so far. a couple of wheel speed sensors replaced valve cover gaskets recently passenger side power window track replaced new windshield nothing major with regular maintenance

Replaced with a nice set of those rubber over aluminum Felpro Perma-dry. Everything went well. I hope mine will be running another several years.

I have an 03 liberty sport that had a similar issue. The ABS light would come on but in addition, the jeep would shift funny and the speedometer would stop working. However, mine would send a code (sorry I don't recall which one). Replaced the rear wheel speed sensor and all was well. Happened...

If you've already found it, sorry for being redundant but when facing the engine from the front, look to the left, all the way back on the firewall. The large plastic recovery bottle should have a pressurized cap on it like you are used to seeing.

Fortunately these codes appeared to have reset this morning. Light is off, and all seems well.

You were right on the money. Pulled all the coil packs this morning and blew some nasty crap out of there. Put it back together and it runs like a champ. Check engine light is still on but its not flashing. Just waiting for it to reset. Thanks for your help.

Yea, first I dumped coolant all over it when I flushed the heater core. Then I rinsed all the coolant off with the hose. Then a little clean up with degreaser and MORE water. I really hope its easy like you suggest. Thank you for the help.

Doing some work on the jeep today and really screwed something up. Changed passenger side valve cover gasket - changed coolant and thermostat - got it all back together and got a flashing check engine light. Runs like crap. Says p0300 p0302 p0303. I degreased and sprayed a good bit of water on...

I have an '03 sport with the 3.7L V6 that has 193,000+. Regular maintenance, no issues to speak of. I am replacing valve cover gaskets this weekend because of a small leak but that is the most extensive work I've done on it yet.
