CSI Brute series 8000 winch in WA

I have a brute series 8000lb winch up for grabs. It's in awesome shape, was on a lifted daily driver I bought to turn I to a wheeler so it's only seen some light use. sold the truck and kept the winch. It's too small for my superduty and we are going to be selling the CRD soon so I no longer...

Tires - not finding what I am looking for...

My 245 75 16s rubbed before the lift. Not sure if going wider but keeping the same sidewall height will rub or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They stole my jeep in Harrison Nj please share

Damn man, people are jerks! My buddy had his yj stolen a couple months ago, they screwed up the dash and steering column, sliced the soft top, slashed all four of his MTs, stole the spare, and sliced the fuel line. We picked it up in a trailer park about 20 miles away with my flatbed trailer...

Tires - not finding what I am looking for...

I got cooper discoverer atps from discount for about $600 they're 245s so a bit bigger and I'm out near Seattle stuff costs a bit more, not sure where you're located. They're a decent looking AT type tread, I've been happy with them in all road conditions. I'm running Bfg ATs on my truck and...

Paint wheels before or after tire mounting

Looks good! I've become a fan of that rustoleum bedliner as a paint alternative. I used it on the inside of my 14' aluminum fishing boat and I'm impressed. I might use that to recoat the wheels on my truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Crd turbo I take elbow and code p0299

Thanks for the insight though! I typically mod as I'm replacing parts so I may look into the thermostat more later on. My main goal is to get this cel cleared so it doesn't go in to limp while the wife is hauling the kids around. We might be getting her something bigger in the future and I'm...

Paint wheels before or after tire mounting

I've done it both ways. I painted the moabs on mine with silver wheel paint without tires without any scratching after they mounted the tires. I painted the wheels on my superduty black with the tires on and had new tires put in and no scratching Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Crd turbo I take elbow and code p0299

I pulled all intercooler hoses, pulled the egr and verified it's still functioning and I've been tracing all the vacuum lines. My intercooler hoses are fine, egr is good... Well it's functioning, whether it's "good" is a different story. I've looked into gde tuning and will address it at a later...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Pulled the egr to clean out the soot and verify everything is still working. So far so good, jeep was throwing a p0299 low boost code. Traced it to a busted 3mm vacuum line off the turbo solenoid. Picked up some tubing today, hopefully that will keep the cel off.. Hopefully. Sent from my...

Crd turbo I take elbow and code p0299

I meant turbo intake on my title.. Fat fingers and auto correct got me. If a mod could fix it that would be awesome, if not no big deal, I think you all know what I mean ha ha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Crd turbo I take elbow and code p0299

Hey guys, so the wife's crd is is throwing the p0299 code for low boost. I was inspecting my intercooler tubes, and I was popping the turbo intake elbow off and noticed it was completely rotted right at the clamp and tore right off. A common problem from what have read. I used a cheapo oreillys...

What did you do to your jeep today?

The spark plugs are a pain but with the right tools once it's done and you upgrade the plugs it's done. Especially if you're lucky and you don't break one. To each their own, the triton may be a dud to you but to someone with the ability to address the issues the 3v has, it's an excellent option...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Ticking/knocking was a vague statement. Sounding like a powerstroke is an obvious sign and if that was the case I wouldn't have let my dad buy the car in the first place ha ha. To simply say "if it hasn't had cam phaser done don't buy it" is a bit of a stretch. Cam phasers aren't that difficult...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I know all about the cam phaser issue in the 3v ha ha. As of now it's not ticking, he's only had it for a little over a year so there is no way to know if it's been done. But for $6 grand cash for an extremely clean rig I'm not going to worry too much about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your jeep today?

Paid the sucker off! The wife and I finally sold our old house after buying a new one and remodeling it for the last 6 months. We had a bit of equity in the old place since I remodeled that one too, went ahead and eliminated the payments! The wife has been complaining about the kj being too...

2005 crd limited trans filter question

I got them from my diesel performance guy. They are mopar though. I'm pretty sure he gets them from the dealer. He probably marks them up a bit more but his customer service when it comes to warranty is excellent. And yes I used ATF+4. Maybe I'll have to drop the pan just to check it all out...

2005 crd limited trans filter question

So I replaced my trans filters in December 2013 because the trans was going into limp mode and not shifting past second. Very common as I found from all the people on here who are smarter than me ha ha. Recently (march 2014) it started doing it again, only once so I took it to my diesel...

What did you do to your jeep today?

My buddy let me borrow his Thule pod for our trip down to UT. It's meant for his wife's 03 exploder, it's a little big, but not too bad. Also rigged up a temporary way to mount my hi lift and shovel. Just for the trip for emergency use. I'm going to figure something better out later, it usually...
