    Loud knock, motor in trouble

I have a loud knock, sounds like a hammer hits the top of the engine, very rhythmic too. So…. I have to decide how I want to move forward. I am thinking about just selling it as is for cheap and making a mechanic special. Or I may shop around and see about pulling the engine and dropping another...

    steering rack issues

I am having the same issue. I replaced the R&P and noticed some clunking when I was steering, I thought it needed to be tightened down more and did that, but it is being pulled and the new bushings are getting worked, that's how I blew out the old ones I guess. My mechanic said basically the...

    Thumping Knocking noise over bumps

I have more of a rattle than a clunk issue. Here is what is new, jba uca and coilovers, lca and ball joint, sway bar links and bushings, rack and pinion and bushings. I thought it was sway bar bushings, I cannot recreate the noise by pushing/pulling/jumping on the bumper. I thought it was the...

    double din upgrade question

So in the liberty there is currently an aftermarket single din hu that I believe was installed by geek squad... there is a portable xm radio in there too. So for the upgrade I wanted to add the double din head unit (maybe gps) with an internal xm receiver, and hands free options. I have...

    Clanking noise rear wheels

Look into the recall for salt belt states. Chrysler replaced the upper and lower rear arms when I took it in for the free hitch. They saved the old ones for me to look at and they were rusty and could of broke at any moment.

    Let the bashing begin!

I am upgrading from stock too on an 06 sport with 3.7. She is sagging pretty good and needs a lift..... I don't have anything out of the ordinary now, moabs with 235s. The only off-roading is done on the beaches of northern fl. I am also thinking about adding a winch. I have looked at the...

    oil pressure switch

Well I had about run out of ideas until I thought why not give the six sided socket a try... Once I did that it fit on there further and I had enough room. The inside of the 12 isn't any different than the 6, and once I got the old one out they fit in there the same so... yeah... whatever I got...

    New Pads and Rotors

Thought I would ask this to the panel of experts. I recently replaced my rear rotors and pads. I started hearing high tone grinding noise, to me i thought it was metal on metal. I thought it might be the parking brake shoes hitting the hat of the new rotor. I turned the star wheel all...
