I have made several trips, working on it myself as well as looping in the guys there. Hence how I've gotten as far as I have. I tested the leads at the switch again as suggested and the voltage does drop out. Any thoughts on what source I need to clean up. All other systems working as expected.

You are absolutely correct. Libertys as a whole do not have traditional pin switches. However, there are two wires that run into the latch assembly that take the place of a typical pin switch. I marked on the attached picture of a driver side latch assembly.

Seems simple enough, trace back one of the door pin switches from the door of choice. Tap into the lines and run them forward to a mounted pin switch under the hood. Then opening the hood would be like open that door. Easy peasy. Just tap in parallel as to not cause an issue, series wouldn't...
