    02 Liberty Renegade Limited...Resurrection

Thanks. It sure saves a bunch of money. These 02 kjs are where it's at...the only easy ones to convert to 4.7, and the only ones with a decent tranny. This one will be getting a jba 3.5" kit and some 31s by winter. Even though the body isn't perfect, $800 for a nice interior and good 3.7 in...

    V8 engine swap

No, you wouldn't. Not bolt in, no easy way to make any of the computers communicate, thus no way for the gauges to function. Also a violation of federal law to swap an engine that is from any model year older than the vehicle receiving it.

    Repair Ideas?

It's been said before. Why be nice? You don't need your hand held, you just needed a smack on the back of the head. This site is super laid back, and that was a very placid post by me. Darn liberal "feelings". Take toms advice. Don't bother with a frame shop, just get the...

    Repair Ideas?

Your jeep didn't fail. You and your terrible idea did. Factory tow hooks are for straight pulls only. Did you really think that a lateral pull using the same 3 bolts would work? You needed to tie the two sides together and you would have been fine. As I have said before.

    Seeking Advice, Front Pinion

It's all the same. Bad pinion bearings mean setting preload, setting lash, and likely that your ring and pinion are damaged

    Ebay Crossbar thoughts?

Junk. A friend had similar ones. No weight capacity, no quality in construction. How. Would you feel if your clamp on bars came off on the highway, along with everything on them. I would not want that.

    Seeking Advice, Front Pinion

If you have to ask this question, you need a professional. New bearing will change preload needs, shimming needs, and ultimately require someone who can set gears. So, cheaper would be to replace it all.

    Rockrail paint?

Stainless is nt a great idea. It's harder, therefor more brittle. It is equally strong but unlike gr8 and above, it will reach it's stress point and shear

Por15 takes scrapes and doesn't chip really easily, it is very hard.

    Please Verify My Potential Setup.

The change in geometry will eventually wear out the upper ball joints. You may get by without, but you will already have it apart, so why would you want to do it twice
