I hope someone will chime in if they're sure, but it looks like the 05066020AA is listed for the 3.7l gas with 3.73 gears. The other one is listed for 4cyl and diesels and they list 4.10 gears. That's really weird since I would think they'd all be the same.
Seems that way to me. That thing rocks quite a bit. Never had one that loose. Won't be able to tell if the CV was damaged until you get it and the intermediate shaft out. Considering the small amount of load time on it, you may be ok. You'll probably be able to drive it in 2wd for a while but...
That seems like a ridiculous price to me. It's not really a collector vehicle. Inspection would be critical! Sometimes too few miles is just as bad as too many. I had an 05 limited that I bought in 2016 with 42k on it. It had a lot of little things wrong with it. Bushings and boots etc. I could...
You don't happen to know if the PO changed the front intermediate shaft? I think the splines can wear and get a bit wobbly. I've never had that happen to mine so can't really say what it would sound like but would probably be worse under load.
I've also heard that aftermarket front half shafts...
They probably are since you recently changed batteries, but check the two cables at the battery and make sure they're very clean and tight. Check the other end of the ground cable too.
Yeah the O2 wiring in the 02 and 05 I had was no easier to see. Just seems logical since new sensors didn't fix a fairly specific code.
I never had much luck with Lucas but pretty sure it wouldn't hurt anything. I do like Berrymans B-12. A can of that and a half tank of gas works wonders for...
Did you clear the codes after changing the sensors? They may not clear for quite a few drive cycles if you don't clear them. Oxygen sensors do have a finite lifetime. Are you still experiencing the rough start issue?
Was the bad end rebuildable? I'm not familiar with the manual versions but driveshaftparts.com sells the end kits and whole shafts. Ive rebuilt a few. You'd have to follow their measurement protocol for a whole shaft or contact them with your Vin or oe info.
