I agree, with using the grade 8 bolts.
Last thing you want is to have someone slip on a strap to your tow hook, get into their vehicle and romp on the gas only to have your tow hook break off and come flying into their cab at 300+ MPH! I chunk of steel that big would go through the back...
First, I'm glad everyone has to use there inside voice when posting.
And second, the quote
"I need to finish a project that I really should have done three months ago but I just kept putting it off because I wanted to sit here in front of my computer and read the random thoughts thread...
For the hooks, I'd use a grade 5 bolts and a torque wrench to make sure you have them tight enough (if you don't have access to a torque wrench, any repair shop most likely will check them for free if they aren't busy).
I also have an 06 and need to do the same. I'm more worried about the gas...

Where are the troubled areas that seem most common for rubbing?
One thing I'm missing here is which transmission/transfer case you have. There are 4 different drivetrains when you include the transfer case, 4 if you include the diesel, but that's comparing apples to oranges.
I have the 6 speed manual and think if it had a higher 6th gear it would...
K&N makes a good one and it has a nut on the end to help those of us who don't have a filter wrench or a gorilla type grip.
I also like filling my filter with oil before I install it; just don't keep filling it until it's full or you have some spill out when you tilt it, but you should be...
While these tire are not wider then the stock, they are only 10 mm more narrow and 1.5" taller. I don't have a lift and have found a good deal on some aggressive snows. Where are the trouble areas that I'll have problems with rubbing?
