    speedometer stopped working

My pig tail end was fine so I used bulk wire and rewired it using enough wire to route it better so there should be no rubbing. then i wrapped in abrasion resistant tape. works great, no issues at all.

    Close out parts for libertys

I just received an email from rockauto about close out parts for our vehicles. Here's the link: http://www.rockauto.com/RSS/vehiclefeeds.php?carcode=1386851&m=wc&l=en&html=true Might be worth keeping some spares around at some of these prices.

That's pretty much what I run too. Works great.

    Garage heater

It depends on if you have the electric hookup for 220. Most the shop heaters run off that. My garage is finished so I haven't run 220 into it for a heater. I'll eventually put up a shop heater when I do. I understand your concern about fumes and an open flame, I'm the same way. What I do now...

    Trouble starting

Sometimes the jeep fires off just fine and others it's like there's no power. Dash lights come on, no trouble codes, no click or sound of starter engaging, just nothing. The battery cables are clean and tight. This has never happened when it's cold so seems to be a warm start issue. Any...

    heater core

The heater core is attached to the box (I think there's a couple clips) and pull straight up and out. I don't think that cutting a hole in the firewall would help. I don't think ou could pull it up and out, it mounts nice and snug it the hvac box.

    heater core

It's just a lot of nuts, bolts, and screws. You remove the center console and dash and drop the steering colum down. That shows you the hvac box and heater core. I don't know a way to do it without removing the a/c. It's pretty straight forward and isn't hard to figure out as you go. just takes...

    Rear Differential Speed Sensor

When you replaced it did you inspect the wire running from it to the wire entrance in the body? These wires crack or fray and even short out. Check the wires. If it's shorting out the speed sensor or not getting full contact. I had to retire mine from just inside the body all the way to the...

    Heating issue

I had the same issue and replaced the heater core. it's a big job. Not so difficult as tedious. There's a lot, a lot of nuts bolts screws and fasteners that need to come out. Once that's done it's pretty easy. It's a full day project. Your other problem could be your blend door actuator...

    Heater not working

Replacing the heater core is a pain. it's not that difficult, just a lot of nuts, bolts and screws. There's just alot that has to come apart to get to it. I had the same problem. I replaced the thermostat ,heater core, made sure the blend doors worked properly, and numerous other things...

    Wandering steering

178000 miles. It didn't come on very slowly. I had it aligned 6 months ago but they couldn't get the right rear cam bolt loose so it was still off some. I've put about 1000 miles on since then and it's been getting worse and worse. I do have oversized tires. I'll put it up on stands this weekend...

    Wandering steering

The steering wheel is really off center on my 02 4x4 and I'm getting a wandering feeling or nonresponsive wheel. The steering wheel will feel like it's not moving the wheels for about a quarter turn (this happens to be the amount the steering wheel is of center). The steering is tight once that...

    faded trim

I use meguiar's intimate black. It does a great job and lasts several washings. It's not to harsh either. Read online about wipe new, there's several reviews and some warnings. I chose not to use it. The biggest thing with all products is they won't last if you run it through automatic car...

    Ever fixed door actuator??

I'm wondering the same as my driver's door is doing it. I know there's a diff in parts for remote lock/keyless entry and standard ones. No idea why though but that's what rockauto shows for about $60.
