    A/C refrigerant leak

no, that is a leak. stains like that don't occur without oil in them, which refrigerent has.

OK, so let's be serious...4.7l swap.

You send it off to be programmed, or have to know someone with the ability to do it. The big thing is that the 4.7 ECM needs to be programmed with the VIN# of your vehicle, as well as the security code for that VIN#. I have a friend who flashed mine for me. I have had it running on the...

OK, so let's be serious...4.7l swap.

major problems; ECM programming Motor mounts (they do need minor machine work to actually work...holes slotted etc.) matching exhaust up. coolant hoses cooling fan I've got 2001 durango manifolds bolted up to 2004 KJ y-pipe and cats. It will fit. Wiring is pretty easy. As previously said...

    A/C refrigerant leak

that is normal condensation in high humidity. do not insulate the hoses. you will make it that much harder for them to do the job right, and might start the jeep on fire from the high side.

    A/C refrigerant leak

I agree. a crapped out pump does necessitate replacement of other parts simply because you have no idea if there are any parts or pieces or debris from inside the pump accumulated in the output line or reciever/dryer. That said, the basic repairs that I've had were as follows; Bad...

    Transmission repair options

You might have a 42 instead of a 45 just based off of the fact that it is an 03 model year. they stopped using 45rfe's after the 7th to 9th month of 2002 production. 2wd vs 4wd has nothing to do with which trans you've got. I have a great working 2wd 45rfe sitting here that I'm holding on...

    A/C refrigerant leak

Everyone can very capably grab a 10mm and 13mm socket, take off the header, replace a condensor, line set, or grab the appropriate 15mm and 13mm to replace a compressor. Anyone who can't does honestly deserve to pay those kind of prices. it is remedial mechanics. What's hard is having...

    A/C refrigerant leak

Yeah, I could still ship him one for under $200 brand new, and install is not expensive. His dealership is trying to pull the wool over his eyes.

Power loss in 4X4 part time.

sounds like you were on a wet hill and had some tires slipping. nothing more than that. There is not a way for the 4x4 to work intermittently except to say that you have open front and rear differentials and it operated as expected.

How long will a typical Jeep Liberty engine last?

I only own a KJ because I'm 4 for 4 on failed engines under 140k miles. cheap to buy, easy to rebuild/swap.

    A/C refrigerant leak

Looks simple as a bad oring. And even if it were the pump, a new one isn't $2000. Maybe $300 all said and done

    A/C refrigerant leak

I just replaced the dryer (accumulator) and A/C condenser, both schraeder valves, and all o-rings for under $200, then had a vac pulled and a/c charged for $60. The dealership is trying to rip you off.

    Wheel flare coming off.

the dealership or napa has them, they're around $1 each for the main ones, $4 each for the 3 lower ones that go into the bumper. they stop holding simply because the are oil based plastic and dry out.

you need a relay, or you're going to start your dash on fire and melt it down.

    Interesting lift dilemmas, Opinions, uses.

I agree with customer service doing more than one thinks. ...but I'm a guy that unless it's fubar'd before it's installed, eaten, etc. I am not ever going to call for warranty for something like, say, powder coat failure on coil springs or rough ride. I don't call for "how to" information...

    Adding Power Steering Cooler

OEM 7 pin on 2002 is wired directly into the factory harness. no connectors.

    Interesting lift dilemmas, Opinions, uses.

I won't need customer service, unless parts don't get to address. moot point to me.

    Adding Power Steering Cooler

my factory 7 pins were part of the existing body harness. you can make factory look, but no one swaps an entire body harness for that, except maybe me.
