Not that Ive never overloaded but, Please consider stopping over getting to speed.
When I've towed more than I should I keep my speed down, and leave a lot of space between me and others.
One ton is 2000 lbs. don't know what that is Canadian;). Not really a lot . Tires /rims might be a problem to replace some older sizes no longer available. Don't forget a spare tire, can't tell if its got safety chains but those and a good coupler too.
I used treated deck boards tongue and grove...
The are not running lights. They are DOT clearance lights. Normally on a 3/4 or larger pick-up that tows or plows. Or a chassis cab that will be a box truck. A factor tow or plow package would have them. Any thing that makes it wider.

Google it. I believe a state park passport and ORV sticker are needed.
But check it out for yourself so you Know The Rules. We have already had fatal accidents there.

I have a gauge somewhere. But my pole barn is a disaster area. I'm redoing and making more benches.
But if you have a tap set or go it to a hardware look at the size tap and it should say drill size.
Check on line --- I just did and it said 5/16. But I'd check more than one source.
