    Anyone have this hitch?

Not yet, but I ordered one a few minutes ago. If you want to wait, I'll let you know how it works out once I receive it. Thanks for the tip.

    Goodbye Audi, Hello Jeep

That's the best project of them all. ( And the most expensive )

    weird noise

My experience is that mud always seeks out the worst possible places in which to harden itself.

It was fun while it lasted

That sounds like reasonable advice. As to Betsy taking it off-road on her own, I think that's very likely. She has been known to wander off with I-wonder-whats-over-the-next-hill syndrome fairly often. She is the owner of a wholesale rare plant nursery and much of her/our off-road trips are in...

It was fun while it lasted

Betsy really is not 'that way'. I usually do try and get her what she wants because she always does the same for me. It's more that I started developing a plan which did not necessarily include so much commuting / highway time on Nancy, at least not what I imagined. I'm one of those kinds of...

It was fun while it lasted

Point taken. But surely there a big differences between fixing up an old KJ for daily road use and weekend off-road excursion use. My wife adds about 100 miles per day to her everyday car and doesn't really need to drag a bunch of recovery equipment, survival gear, off-road tires, etc. along...

It was fun while it lasted

My wife mentioned that she is wanting to start using Nancy as her everyday car. This was actually the second time she brought that up. She usually gets her way with that sort of thing. I guess that means I need to re-think my plans for upgrades and mods. Why would I need the off-road...

I'd probably get better fuel mileage...

Then like me, you just need to reprogram your brain. I drove the BMW, "Frau Blucher", last night and couldn't find the window switches at first. I hunted all over the console. Reprogramming works!

What did you sell or trade to get your KJ?

I sold my soul to the company I work for. I'm really bad at getting rid of the old ones. Out behind the barn is starting to look like a scrap yard. Anyone need any parts?

    New fan resistor installed...then MELTED...help?

I'm no expert on fan problems particular to the Liberty, but two things come to mind. Possibly a shorted winding in the blower motor or a partially seized motor bushing? There is probably a resistance reading published somewhere on the 'net that will tell you what a good motor winding should read.

I'd probably get better fuel mileage...

I thought it was just me. I drive along boggling at how long the revs stay up once I step on the clutch. And I struggle to drive this car anywhere near as smooth as any of my others.

    Two unrelated observations

But do the trucks carry both name brand gas and the cheaper stuff, or is it all the same gas? I always thought it was all the same just from stories that I heard.

    What parts to order?

They have everything from Wedding to Skittles, but no Jeep pucks! http://www.officialgamepuck.com/MuseumHomepage/Sample.htm Guess I'll have to design my own. ;-) <-= This emoticon denotes that I am kidding.

    What parts to order?

I'm joking. I guess I should have added a smiley to convey that. :-)

    What parts to order?

Why do I feel like I'm about to fall victim to the biggest practical joke on jeepkj.com? I guess the only decision I have left is do I get NY Rangers pucks ( my favorite as a kid ) or Colorado Avalanche pucks ( The local team )?

    What parts to order?

That's what I love about these forums. I think in this single thread, I've been recommended just about every part available. So, are the Bilstein shocks I mentioned the correct ones to go with the Heavy Duty springs?

    What parts to order?

Payday tomorrow, so I'm getting ready to place an order. Does this list sound correct for an '04 Renegade with bash plates and some lightweight bumper jewelry ( a push bar / brush guard that I wouldn't want to push anything with )? Front Springs: OME926 ( Medium ) Front Shocks...

    Milage

I've only put about 2000 miles on Nancy so far, but I have been seeing 21 - 22 MPG. This includes a few hours of casual off-road / low range driving also.

    Two unrelated observations

Just below the speedo in Nancy ( '04 Renegade KJ ), there is a small label that says 'TYPE 35' in orange letters. When the sun hits this part of the dash, it lights up causing me to think it's an idiot light of some kind. Gets me every time. And There are two gas stations in town where I live...

    What parts to order?

925/947 - I understand. Where do I get the bump stops? JeepinByAl seems to only list the 3 inch for the front ( as a direct replacement for stock ones? ) and ones for a 4 inch lift for the rear. How about the rear shocks? JBA-F4-BE5-D917-H0 or JBA-F4-BE5-2790-H0 - They both have the same...
