    New spark plugs

Most vehicles not designed to run on Platinum plugs won't run well on Platinum plugs. They require different voltages from the coils than copper ones to get a decent spark, and don't last longer in any case. Stock works best!

    Turn/Rear defrost fuse keeps popping

I don't know about the fuse blowing, but the 'Part Time' light flicker is probably do to either an out-of-adjustment position switch or worn transmission/engine mounts allowing the assembly to rotate enough to trip the switch momentarily.

What did you do to your jeep today?

You want to look into York compressors. This guy did it on a YJ, but the information is still pretty relevant.

    Whine when driving

If it really was bone dry, the damage may have been done. Where in the Jeep does it sound like the noise is coming from? Front or rear?

    Good exhaust?

I really, really want to like that setup. It sounds awesome and the dual tips look great... but I cannot stand that cross pipe and how low down it is behind the rear axle. I've thought about getting one and seeing if a local shop could 'massage' it a bit to tuck it up better, or something, but...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Nice! One day I will own land big enough for a pole-barn garage with a lift in it... One day... :blah:

What did you do to your jeep today?

:happy175: Thai food, although Dustins sounds like a plan for today. Nah, just a bunch of fat-asses in a small Jeep. It probably looks like a clown car when we all pile out of it. Also, my suspension is sagged like crazy. I want to put a JBA 4" kit on it and run 32s like Mr Mudd, but that's a...

    New spark plugs

Looked like mine did at about 78k when I bought it, changing them out really improved the gas mileage.

    Transfer case

Is that actually true, though? I thought it was the sudden transfer of torque from side-to-side that would break the front. Like, for instance, when one wheel is spinning and suddenly gets traction, like it does in an open diff. I want to say I remember reading that putting a locker would...

What did you do to your jeep today?

First lunch trip with the new tires. Yeah... with 5 guys in the Jeep (4 of which are 250+), I get some serious wheel rub on corners now. :happy175: What was funny is that it didn't rub going to lunch, but did on the way back.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Finally went ahead and replaced the tires. I had hoped to hold off until after a lift, but the old Dunlop Signature CSs on there were getting... well... scary. Two of them were on or almost to the war bars, and the other two were badly worn as well. If the temperature dropped below 40 or the...

Oil pump failure on 2005 75kmiles KJ ??

Yeah, if the 'oil pump failed', then the engine probably ran without ANY oil pressure. That's a bad thing. Sure you may get lucky and be OK after replacing the oil pump, chances are if the engine didn't seize it'll probably still run, but I wouldn't trust it. Not without a full tear down to...

HOW TO: Install an EVIC or OTIS (overhead computer)

Unless you have an '05 which only works with '05 and '06 Liberty OTIS units, of which there were 2 (one with tire psi, one without). All the other ones result in only partial functionality (like no Temp sensor). I've got a collection of them laying around the house right now. :emotions34:

    Transmission Rebuild

Well, P0700 is just a generic, "Hey, the TCM found a problem" code... I'd say take it to the dealer and have them read the code on the TCM (you cannot use an OBDII reader for this and need a special Dealer tool). It may need a rebuilt transmission, or it may just need a sensor replaced.

    Worth the lift

That depends. How long do you intend to keep the Jeep? If your going to turn around and sell it in 6 months? No, it's not worth it. If you intend to keep it a while, want a lift, and it's in good shape? Yeah, worth it. I can't wait to put one on mine.

Best High Dollar and Low Dollar Mod You've Done

Haven't really gone mod happy on the old girl yet... Cheapest mod I've done that I wouldn't do without? Window vent-shades. The in-channel ones. Freaking awesome. As for high-dollar, pretty sure my lift will fill that niche when I get to it.

    METRA double-din KJ kit?

Yep, done that before! I need to actually adjust mine, it's too low at the bottom and I can't open the face plate to get at the CD player. Not that I ever used it, but still, it should sit in there correctly.

Biggest Waste of Time/Money You've Made on Your KJ?

Tried to chase down an annoying squeak for about 5 months before I finally changed out my speakers and discovered I was missing a few retaining clips on the driver's side door panel. Squeak went away once I fixed that. Biggest waste of money wasn't really a waste, since I got to keep driving...
