Weird noise help
it’s definitely not a metal sound if you close your eyes start the engine yes I hear a little tick from the valve train but if you step on the break and put it in drive or reverse or any other gear it literally sounds like you’re driving down the road on a flat tire or the sound of a bad axle...- Danv508

Weird noise help
Definitely not a metal sound sounds like a driveshaft flopping around more like a flat tire something but the vehicle is not moving like I said it’s when I put it in gear doesn’t matter if it’s forward or reverse it still makes a thump thump thump sound- Danv508

So my ocd got the best of me I decided tonight to do a motor flush and run full synthetic oil 5w30 in the Jeep. The oil that came out that was only 50miles old was a little black. 2006 125k and 5w30 The noise that it’s making I would describe as a clicking sound it is very pronounced when I first start it for a good minute to two minutes then it becomes pretty muffled with the hood closed but the noise always seems to be there but much quieter- Danv508

Definitely not in the pulleys. And definitely not an exhaust leak. It just sucks the truck is in mint condition no oil leaks whatsoever and was just looking at the Carfax report and from what I can see starting at about 80,000 miles oil changes were literally a few hundred miles over each...- Danv508
