    03 Liberty Interior parts

Just a heads up - Swapping seats may not be as simple as you may think since there are airbag sensors in the seats and the control unit is under the passenger side seat.... I think.

If I only want 1.5" lift...

I think you're gonna have rubbing issues with such a small lift and that tire size.

    Hood idea

I've done some very cool things, at very little cost, and saved time by making things out of other things. You might consider picking up some existing louvers, scoops, etc, that you can cut, bend, reshape, attach to each other, or modify in some other way to make something original. And think...

Maybe try and make something similar to the Hard Rock hoods on the Wrangler. Taking cues from other jeeps will help give it a jeep feel. I've looked a lot at various jeep concept vehicles for inspiration on my liberty concept.

I wasn't gonna say it, but yeah I think it's kinda ugly too. Lol. But it may give him an idea or two in a different direction. Or if nothing else show him an example of how a look can be taken too far. Lol.

I prefer the blackout look to the louver look but that's just me. But if you wanna go for a different kinda look here's a photo shopped concept design I ran across when I started my liberty concept project.

    Filling gas tank

Yeah I have the same issue. I always run it down to just under a quarter tank and never add more than 15 gallons.

Very cool jeep! If my interior looked that sharp I would have never started my extreme makeover. Lol.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Love the look! I think it may even be a better look than the original. Gives it a retro vibe.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I modified a pair of old vintage FJ speaker guards to use on my kj. Gotta get them powder coated in satin black first though. My liberty will now feature modified parts from wranglers, xterras, frontiers, and fj cruisers. Lol. Nothing from Land Rover or Hummer yet... but it could happen -...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I finished refining the two fin shaped custom bumper trim pieces I've been working for my project thread. And started making a pattern for two more trim pieces. Can't wait to get them all done, powder coated and mounted. It's gonna look sweeeeet!

spare tire delete/brake light faux utility box

Very nice work. Very creative. Well executed! Not to take anything away from what was done... But personally I've never understood why anyone would want to remove the spare from the tailgate. I mean, it's a jeep for gosh sake! Lol. A spare on the tailgate just adds to the traditional...

    rear bumper fading

I've used a heat to restore sun damaged plastics before. The results depend on the specific type of plastic. For example, a heat gun will work on the bumper mounted fog lights on the renegades, but not on the roof rack rail end mounts. As for the rear bumper I have not tried it so I can't say.
