this must mean I need to take this new CV axle back to napa to change it for a longer shaft.. ? because mine is noticeably shorter than what's sitting in there right now.- Midgear

^^^ barely.. BARELY. Last time he went off road he quit because the mud was getting in between the tread pattern on the tires.. just as the Jeep started getting the adrenaline rush, he murders the moment.- Midgear

Problem: Flashing C.E.L. Engine sputters and cuts out.. Help!
I had the reciept, and it was the same day. they said the reason they cracked is because I torqued them too hard and they said theres nothing they can do.. so I went next door to advance auto parts and bought from them.. no issues.- Midgear

I used a set of bosch platinums and the bastards FELL APART when I was installing them.. I didn't even know they cracked untill I took it for a drive and I got extreme sputtering. got back to the house, pulled a couple plugs out, cracked, pulled the rest out and 4 / 6 plugs were cracked. how much is a new intermediate shaft? and if I'm doing that, hell I might as well replace the driver side CV too lol.. if I was rich i'd buy one a' those thar fancy steel front diffs (they got those built yet?) along with the new shafts. yea.. might as well. my shaft that's making ruckus...- Midgear

no, just the CV axle.. it makes metal clinking sounds when turning to the right and sitting still.. and the boot looks really worn. what's the down side to getting NEW vs remanned?- Midgear

HELP! need a new front driveshaft
keep in mind that the liberty uses 5 different legths of front drive shafts.. so be sure and measure your shaft from friction weld to friction weld (those raised creases on each end of the middle bar) and contact eric with your length needed and he'll get you set up.- Midgear

I bought the NEW CV axle, not remanned. is this good or bad? and yes I understand what you're saying. the passenger CV axle has a "female" connection where it connects to the differential? That's what mine looks like. but for some reason it just looks overall shorter than the old one that's...- Midgear
