    EVIC 4th Wire Help

More or less what I did...... I checked my PCI Bus wiring and took off the grill and checked the AA sensor, and still --. All functions on the EVIC work; MPG, Elapsed Time, Compass, etc., even the higher custom functions like the flash lights with door locks and all others. I obviously have...

    EVIC 4th Wire Help

Solved my problem, wired it into the rear cargo AC adapter. Just used a voltimeter and a safety pin to find a wire after I plugged my battery back in. I spent a good portion of my day tackling a new power steering pump install and wasted a lot of time and energy getting the pulley on. I was...

    EVIC 4th Wire Help

Hey guys, desperately need help with the 4th wire in my EVIC install. I have the link to the famous OTIS/EVIC thread, but it doesn't tell you where to splice the last wire. He simply says to find a wire that's hot when the ignition is switched to "on". Aren't you supposed to have the battery...

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Hey hey now, don't sell yourself short. On a side note, got a set of 5 235/70s for $180 with plenty of tread left. Now if I can just get in touch with my uncle. I need to invest in a car lift and tire machine some day lol

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Maybe so, but I don't see anyone else walking me through some fairly complicated stuff, haha. One more question though, I only need front bump stops with the 2.5" lift right?

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Works for me, and thanks for all the great info. The people with the most experience aren't as forthcoming as you've been, so I definitely appreciate it. Ironman springs coming soon. Then real tires....lol.

    Black Rock Type 8 997

I trust what you're saying, I'm just confused that both the OME and Ironman kits are advertised at 1.5" lift. The OME 927s were what I was referring to, didn't even consider the 790s an option. KJ Ironman 1.5" spring lift kit - Lift Kits, Jeep Liberty - Liberty 2002-2007 (KJ) ^^^So this kit...

    Black Rock Type 8 997

I actually think I got it, well mostly. I had been to JBA's site the other night, and I just revisited earlier after looking at another guy's build on here. I was thinking the Bilstein heavy duty struts and 2.5" shocks, JBA rear 2.5" springs, and Ironman front springs. I can Wesway to 2.5" in...

    Black Rock Type 8 997

If three people consecutively call it crap, then it's probably crap. I was more or less just in awe of all the stuff I could buy for this jeep. Still on the hunt for the right suspension though.

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I just spent a good amount of time on Rocky Road Outfitters website, they have some good stuff. I need to stop drooling over parts and go to bed, we have MSHA meetings tomorrow and should get some rest lol.

    Black Rock Type 8 997

I'm in between the financial point of more than being able to buy a new stock suspension, but not quite a good suspension lift, so saving for the latter would be the wiser thing to do. I'm going to get some good used tires at a car shop in town this week to replace my racing slicks (ha) and to...

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Nice, I'll check those out......but I just remeasured in the daylight, and it's 18" in front, 19" in the back. I had to hold the light and the tape when I did it last. That's from the center of the Jeep logo on my wheels straight up to the bottom of the outside edge of the fender flares. Is this...

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Thanks for the info guys, I'm not a mechanic but I know my way around my Jeep no doubts. Looks like I'll be going the used tire route for now, and repairing/upgrading my suspension instead. Sorry this wound up in the tires section lol.

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Yup just figured out that much myself lol. A little more researching went a long way. I can get coils to replace the saggy ones, about the same cost as the budget lift and kill two birds with one stone, no? Something like the Old Man EMU coils? Or will I have to replace the struts as well?

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Looks to be about 17" give or take......it's got 215s on it right now so no judging haha. I had to make due with limited funds last year to pass inspection so it is what it is. Does it sound saggy to you? Should I at least replace springs before I pop those poly lift spacers under it?

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Cool, the 7" wide 4" BS are cheaper too. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't installed the budget boost yet, they'll be ordered along with the Black Rocks. The jeep does have 190k on it, so I'm sure the (factory) suspension is sagged nonetheless. A little bigger than stock is still bigger than...

    Black Rock Type 8 997

Hi all, I'm not new to the forum, but I haven't been too active on here for a long time. I own a 2004 Columbia KJ that I've neglected, and while I know exactly what to get to fix my jeep, I'm still a little lost as to what tires I want. Let me rephrase; I don't know what tires are ideal for...

    Engine Power Loss

The more I drive it, the more I feel it's a transmission issue. The first post was after I drove it home from my parents, and though it had lost power. My fingers are definitely crossed.

    Engine Power Loss

Ok, I'll just get to the point. I know exactly why my 3.7 has lost power. I think I may have touched 7000 miles before I changed the oil. It was full synthetic Castrol GTX, but even so, it was way overdue when I finally changed it again yesterday. Working night shift is tough, and it has...

Nice Bumper for the KJ, any idea where to buy?

*Excuse the double post, Tony, a Frankenlift is on my to-buy list. Thanks for the suggestion though, man. I'll get a bumper whenever. Not too high on my list, due to the high price of them. I'm only 18 you know, not made of greenies. :D
