    Recovery Gear Storage

Only problem with a pull out storage drawer is the case of not being able to get the hatch open for whatever reason. Say, you're doing a muddy hill climb and end up sliding backwards into a tree, and can no longer move forward (and you forgot to get the winch control out of there before you...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Replaced radiator, replaced thermostat (old one was probably OK, but the F'n shop didn't clock it correctly.) All put back together, and running like a champ. No heating issues now. Thanks for all the knowledge here!

    Yet another cooling system thread

Road test indicates a complete success. Did my commute route, 29 miles one way, 80-85mph (faster than normal but I wanted to push it a bit.) Temp gauge stayed straight up the whole way there, stopped by mcD’s and got a soda, no boiling. Turned around and made the trip back with no issues...

    Yet another cooling system thread

Heat inside the car seems to be hot and steady. I really hope I don't have to replace that. Will only use them for any warranty repairs on the tires, otherwise, yeah, they burnt a good customer because they didn't take the time to know what they were doing.

    Yet another cooling system thread

OK, so I'm tackling the coolant system today. Got Murray radiator from O'Reilly Auto Parts. I've installed these in other vehicles and am confident enough in their quality. Should have went ahead and gotten new hoses and clamps. So, I got the old radiator out and I do believe that it was...

What did you do to your jeep today?

This describes it... https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/mopar-tow-hooks.46951/#post-518511 The picture from here https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/how-to-fit-towhooks-to-an-05.42789/ was the missing link for me. As long as you don't loose the M-bolt in the cavity, you don't have to take the bumper off.

    Yet another cooling system thread

Sorry, yes, 2006 Liberty, 3.7l Drained coolant from radiator, so the coolant level is correct now. Do not know the manufacturer of the thermostat. I'm just going to order a MOPAR one, plus the pressure tank cap so I can replace if need be. If I'm going to break the system open, would rather...

    Yet another cooling system thread

OK, let's start with what happened, what I've done, and where I am now. And I have been reading through the threads, but I wanted peoples advice before I tear everything apart and start replacing parts. OK, so 2 weeks ago, water pump was making noise, I made an appointment to get it looked...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Cleaned my battery terminals the other night, they were getting a nice deposit of corrosion. Yesterday finally put my front tow hooks on. Thanks to the one thread I found here, figured out I didn't have to remove the bumper, et al, to put the M-bolts into the frame. Just had to be careful...

    H&R Spring Review

Might want to find your manufacture date... https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/liberty-lift-confusion.69489/page-3#post-771678 NOTHING, repeat nothing at all changed in the suspension from 02-07, nothing Only thing the first few KJs that were built prior to April 12, 2002 were 3/4 of an inch taller

    H&R Spring Review

Reading through your review, you are asking why the coils when loaded seem to have no space between them. One question I have in general, what is the weight difference between the V6 and the diesel, also between automatic and manuals. Greater weight on the front end could cause those coils to...

ElecTape's Deep Beryl Green Build Thread

Nice write up. Why did you eliminate the capacitor in the crossover? That eliminates the lower frequencies that the tweeter can't play.

    My Liberty

I see the chrome and think, great one more surface to clean and shine after off-roading :D

    My Liberty

Yep, 2006. Basket needs a bit of repainting, but it'll do for now. Got my tow hooks ordered, and after we move I'll be taking it by a Jeep dealer to deal with recalls (rear control arms, and tow hitch)

What did you do to your jeep today?

Put the MOPAR gas cap on I ordered... :D I will say, whatever gas cap they put on there was completely inadequate as far as the grooves go.

What did you do to your jeep today?

My Libby turned over 150K miles on Friday. Put new tires on her on Saturday. Firestone Destination A/T2 225/75/16 They said I needed a new front driveshaft, though not sure why.
