    OME 948 & 132L to JBA 4 rear - Yes / No ?

Tom not sure what you mean?! My rear shocks are as above Old Man Emu 132 L (the extra long ones). All I am after is do I need to change the hole set up or just get longer rear shocks so that when I turn at speed I don't have that uncomfortable feeling before the shocks start working. Fil.

    OME 948 & 132L to JBA 4 rear - Yes / No ?

Hi, I have at the rear OME 948 and 132 L with 2 extra upper isolators each side and I have also fitted JBA Y link extender. I still feel that the rear end of the KJ is very soft and that on corners it tends to wobble like the shocks feel to soft or are not stating to engage as they might be...

    Solid rear diff cover

I also fitted a So Solid rear diff cover. My experience of it is very good and I like it but the garage that fitted it over filled the diff with oil and it started coming out from the rear air breather. I had told them to put the correct amount of oil as it's in the standard diff cover ( that...

    Skid Plate recommendation

Factory skids are fine and cheap enough if you find them. The front one is pretty solid to go but the Gearbox/Transfer ones are at best okay for mild off road. The Tank one is good for the purpose and quite solid all in all. I had them fitted to mine, then as time passed up graded to better one...

    Hi from another UK member

Hi Andy, Welcome to JeepKJ!! I am in the UK to but in Cambridge. Our UK forums are a bit short on info for the KJ V6 3.7, CRD on the other hand more info here (still Jeep Owner Club and Jeep-Club have a go). Fil. PS: Since you are Up North, Jeepey is hosting and event on the 26/7 July...

    How rare is my ride?

TBH manual is less common in the US and specially on a KJ. In the rest of the world most KJ come manual except for the V6 3.7 and the late CRD Limited. If you looked around you would find more manual over here in the UK than auto. Personally I am still keeping an eye out for a V6 manual over...

    Hello from the uk

All you will need is a set of All Terrains to get you around, if it's very wet, then you will need Muds. It's a good enough course. A lot of Clubs go there, Land Rover Owner, Toyota Owner Club and a lot more here in the UK. Most of all it's not like Kirton that is open to any nutter with a 4x4...

    Hello from the uk

Snail Farmer, the angle of the photo make it look higher, it's not lifted but might be one of the first KJ 2002 that sit higher and hasn't done a lot of miles and might be also petrol.

    Hello from Tallin!

Andres, Your option of going dual fuel, so using the additional gas only when required although a good option, I don't thing it's practical. As you know the best results for consumption would be to use LPG and have diesel just to start up and get engine to temperature. To have a mixture for...

    Hello from Tallin!

Andres, I know what you are talking about. Diesel / LPG conversions are used on small Buses in Big Cities to reduce polution, common in Italy, France, Germany, Spain etc... problem/benefits is as following: Problems: 1) Expense, normally very high, you would be looking at about 3600€ ( or...

How rare is 2.4L 5 spd?

Here in Europe they are quite common specailly from 2001 to 2005, V6 are a bit more rare. Reason is the cost of Petrol over here, but most of our KJ are CRD due to the better MPG they offer.

    does size matter?

Actually I found on mine thet going 245/75R16 took out the over reading of the speedometer, so when it staes 30 mph you are actually doing that speed and not 28 mph, same at 60 mph, so really no need to recalibrate if the tyres where taller then yes, specially with 32'.

Swapping engine out from a KJ 2.4 to a 3.7 (or 4.7 if poss)

Hoosier, What to you mean by this? /----\ or |----|. Any chance of some photos? are you referning to the Crossmember bar? Most KJ luckly over here odon't have skid plates, so once you look underneath you should be able to read the writing on the transfer case, but an easy visual would be...
