I have a 7-way trailer hitch connector. I put that connector on solely with the idea of towing my dad's tent trailer in mind. Here's my problem. The connector only has a left signal/brake and right signal/break wire. There is no seperate brake wire. My dad's truck is setup such that when he...
Gotta agree...the warmer air makes a huge difference. My mileage goes up 10-15% in summer. I think this is mostly due to the decrease in warm-up time. Also in city driving I do much better in summer with my coolant sitting @ 215-220* (taling about my vette here) versus 190-195 in winter.
So, spending 30 years studying something makes you less qualified on the matter than you are? I'm trying to understadn your reasoning. You don't like their view so they must be wrong, and people who spend most of their life studying something are just ignorant? If you needed brain surgery...
I work with several guys with PhD's in atmospheric science, physics, and meteorology who have spent their lives studying the climate. I believe them because they are unbiased sources not funded by special interests. I'm not saying you are definitely wrong, i'm saying that data right now shows...
Name one scientist profiting from his research showing global warming is partially man caused. Of course the climate is cyclical. Nobody is arguing it isn't. The point is there is an overall increase in temperature between known cycles that at this time can only be explained through CO2...
The infrastructure to deliver electricity is already there. Sure, some areas might need additional generating capacity, but a DOE study from a couple years ago showed that if tomorrow 80% of the US switched to driving electrics, the grid could handle it. We aren't going to be 80% electric...
From the factory they are torqued down like mad. Manual recommends replacing @ 30k (I did mine...and boy were they already looking bad). ?It sounds like someone replaced yours and didn't torque them down enough.
That was my other thought is difference in actual diameter., I'll check this later when my wife is back home as our spare tire is still the OEM spare (it has about 2,000 miles on it). I haven't put them on a scale, but i didn't feel a noticeable weight difference between the tires.
Well, calculated the odometer is off by 4.5% (it's low). So that explains a portion of it...so our 21mpg highway was realyl 22, and the 16.5 city is really 17.25. Doesn't explain the whole difference, but part of it at least. I'm sure the tires rolling resistance is probably another 5% of the...
Haven't had that problem. You have checked that air is not blowing out the top or bottom (I think you say that in your post, but it's a bit unclear).
It sort of sounds like the flap controlling air flow is possibly not opening all the way. I have no idea if ours are vacuum or electronically...
^ My new tires aren't all terrains though (Firestone Destination LEs). The tread is more aggresive thant he Wrangler S/Ts (what tire isn't?), but the S/Ts were kept 5psi lower than my new tires and I can't imagine the rolling resistance is *that* much higher.
We used to get 24-25mpg on the...
^ I didn't bother removing my coolant box, that would have been a pain. I connected a 12" extension to a swivel attachment, then another 12" atachment and got plug #6 out that way.
No improvements in mileage. Thinking back, it seems like our mileage went to crap when we bought our new tires. But they are the same diameter as the stock tires I though. They aren't A/Ts or anything, so I can't imagine the tires could have dropped our mileage that much. They have been kept...
^ Ultracapacitors aren't new. The problem is until there has never been a way to make them store a large amount of energy. I posted this on another forum and a bunch of engineers (one of them who works for a company that deals with batteries etc) were discussing this...it seems one guy in...
I'm confused, there are vehicles that run on hydrogen gas.
http://www1.eere.energy.gov/vehiclesandfuels/avta/light_duty/hicev/index.html
Am I missing something when you say you can't power an ICE on hydrogen? I believe they have buses in Phoenix running on Hydrogen. If nothing else...
