Loaded it up with tools and gear headed to Dahlonega for the week to do a home theater install at a customers cabin. If the weather cooperates, I plan on going to Beasley's Knob for a little wheeling. Let's see how bad Atlanta traffic is at 9am. Sent from my G870a on 38's.- the_dealer

True, but compared to the $5k+ I spent for the 3.4L Whipple on my cobra, it's not bad. Considering I'd need to rebuild the motor eventually anyways, a little extra for forged internals won't be bad. For 6-8psi, cam change isn't required. Sent from my G870a on 38's.- the_dealer

Why did he give up? My uncle owns a performance shop(mostly mustangs and other Ford), so I have him to recruit to help. The biggest issue I think will be the tune, but I could away use megasquirt. Internally 6-8psi is considered safe with a good tune and fuel support. I'd get everything running...- the_dealer

Cleaned out my shop, and found one of these. Cane off my cobra when I installed the Whipple. That got me thinking, what if I made some adapters to mount in place of the stock manifold. Sorry, I have the 42rle, every time I hear about trans problems I always assume it's the 42rle. The 45rfe is stout, and you rarely come across one with issue. In my experiences, most Trans problems are from gunk where it shouldn't be or an issue with the electronics. Sent from my G870a on 38's.- the_dealer

If you have a laptop(or long ass cord lol) and a elm327 adapter you could use the 42rle Trans monitor app and at least see wtf it's doing. I haven't followed, but when was the last time you've changed the fluid/filter? I'd take the vb apart and clean it and see if that helps. Changed my...- the_dealer

Yup, that's exactly how they were. I had to tweak the clips a little as well, as mine were a little loose on the bracket. I ended up buying 3 front/rear Mopar slide kits when I heard they were going to stop production. Should last me until SAS time. Sent from my G870a on 38's.- the_dealer

I usually throw some sil-glide on the clips too. Make sure that the ears of the pads are smooth and don't have any thick paint ridges or anything. Had to take some Emory cloth to my powerstop pads to clean some thick paint off that made them drag. Sent from my G870a on 38's.- the_dealer

On my KJ, the rear rotors made it feel like a wheel was bent. You'd only notice it going through the parking lot or at really slow speeds(happened from 1-25mph.) Hard braking caused them to chatter and sometimes click like a cv. Once the pads wore uneven they sounded like wheel bearings going...- the_dealer

Put new JBA poly bj boots on. Had an issue with the boot not sitting right on the spacer and in a couple hundred miles they looked like this. No matter what I did, the boot would end up off-center and hang off the spacer. Sent them an email letting them know of the issue since I haven't...- the_dealer

New Rear Springs?
I had them make a set for my 2000 Ranger and I paid less than $225 shipped for the progressive rate front coils. When I did the SAS on my Bronco I went with linear rate and they were closer to $300 shipped. The price just depends on the spring height/width, wire diameter, and progressive rate or...- the_dealer
