FWIW, I recently replaced my 2009 KK’s LCA’s with Moog units. The Moogs appear to be higher quality than the OEM LCA’s. I like that the ball joints are greasable too! The ride is great!
I agree that you may have a head gasket leak. If you do it can be confirmed by testing for the presence of exhaust gas in the coolant. I have provided a link on how to test your coolant for the presence of exhaust gas.
Good luck!

Ohkk,
Here is a pic of the end result. I replaced the 12V accessory plug with a USB port which connects the IPhone to the stereo and also charges the IPhone. I also installed a back up Camera too. Sorry for the picture quality but it’s night time when I took them.
Cheers!

I bought the exact same radio fascia on Amazon when I was installing an Alpine ILX-W670 head unit in our 2009 KK. That fascia is complete crap! It’s very thin plastic and heater/AC Vents don’t fit it properly and the fascia didn’t fit the dash well either. I returned it and got a double...

Yes the front shock is at its lowest setting which corresponds to 1” of lift according to the installation instructions.
Here is pic of Quackers freshly washed even though it’s 28 deg. F!

Check your electric cooling fan by starting the engine and turning on the AC to full blast cold. That should kick the fan on. If the fan comes on then it's a problem in the coolant temperature monitoring system.

Howdy All,
Update: The suspension upgrade on “Quackers is now complete! The front suspension upgrades took me a weekend to get installed but I got’er done.
Order of operations for each side: First, I removed and installed the lower control arms. Then I replaced the tie rod ends and replaced...
WheelNut,
Yup those front shocks are longer and for a YJ.
I decided to replace the clevises for two reasons. The originals were cast as compared to the new stamped steel clevises that superseded them. The stamped steel units seemed to be a better design since they are less prone to cracking as...
Howdy All!
I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday Season! I thought I would bounce my plan off you guys before I commit to tearing the front suspension apart.
I think I should start by replacing the lower control arms, outer tie rod ends and sway bar links. Then move on to replacing the...
Update:
My front preloaded coil overs shipped out today! The 4 Wheel Center said the shocks were set to the lowest setting based on my new rear lifted fender clearances. This is consistent with what others have posted regarding using Bilstein 5100’s on the front.
I have received all my front...
Looks like the computer is leaning out the air/fuel mixture since there are negative values being displayed. Bank 1 "Drivers Side" is really being leaned out. I would check fuel injectors. I would try replacing each injector on the drivers side with one from the passenger side and check your...
Howdy all!
I decided to start my lift build here instead of continuing on in my other thread regarding scalloped front tires.
Summary from my other post.
I have read a lot of posts regarding people not happy with installing OEM spec springs and shocks. Many experienced significant ride...
A quick parts search yielded this. The fluid temperature sensor has a two wire male connector. Click the link below to see what it looks like to help you identify it.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I did a lot of research here and other forums regarding rebuilding Liberty suspensions over the past couple of weeks. I have read a lot of posts regarding people not happy with installing OEM spec springs and shocks. Many experienced significant ride...

That is interesting. Right hand drive huh:oops:? Is the battery and TIPM on your drivers side too? If the battery and TIPM is on your passenger side, I would think your Right Hand Drive UCA change out would be easier than our Left Hand Drive KK's which have batteries and TIPM on the...
