Nice!
If there was a reasonably priced conversion kit available on the market I'd almost be tempted to pick-up a KJ again. Unfortunately the aftermarket support for the KJ blows so it'll probably never happen. :(
Wow. A recall. That doesn't speak well for the company.
Yep. If you're willing to hack your rig a bit, it's doable. You can also go with flat flares and accomplish the same thing.
Since my JK is a daily driver and I don't have an assload of money to spend on gas, I'll probably be running 35's at the max. I think 34's would be more practical. I don't get offroad nearly as much as I'd like, but when I do I want to know what I have under my Jeep is going to work. Here's my...
The general opinion on JK-Forum.com and JKOwoners.com is that Rock Krawler products are great quality and their warranties are excellent. From my research and experience, there aren't very many suspension lifts on the market that are "complete". They all seem to be missing at least one componet...
Yeah, now that you mention it they do only sell clevis lifts. I think I was confusing them with Rocky Road Outfitters.

A little over a year ago I traded my KJ for a 2 door JK. Since then I've joined some JK specific forums. In the JK world Rock Krawler Suspensions is an awesome company with awesome products, however most KJ owners think they leave something to be desired. What gives?
BTW, I like my JK but I...
I don't use it much anymore. We no longer have a KJ in the family.
I usually try to close/delete any accounts I'm not using. It's better than having a bunch of orphan accounts floating around cyber-space. If you can't delete it because of it screwing up the message boards, that's fine. I...
I think you hit the nail right on the head with the load test. The battery voltage is fine at rest but not under load. I put my OBDII scanner on it and I saw two pending codes; P0700 and P0562. P0562 is "low system voltage". I threw the battery cables on it and let it sit for a few minutes. Then...
This afternoon my girlfriend stopped to get gas. She shut the vehicle off and then when she went to restart it she got nothing. The vehicle was completely dead. The entire electrical system just died. By the time I showed up(15minutes later) the lights on the dash would start flickering when you...
I heard the same thing, social I contacted our local Sewer Dept. and asked them what to do with it. They didn't know either. When I asked if it was safe to dump down the drain, I was told not to.
I still have been able to find a place willing to take it.
Another thing you might want to consider is disposal of the old coolant. I couldn't find a place willing to take the used stuff even after contacting my local Dept. of Environmental Conservation office.
After driving my girlfriend's '06 with the 42rle transmission and my '03 with the 45rfe, I can't imagine hers with larger tires. It just doesn't have the bottom end torque my '03 does. The transmission seems geared too high.
Just a word of caution. I usually put my sunglasses up on the dash with the ear pieces tucked in the defroster grid/duct. They're out of the way and right there when I need them. However I had on pair that melted the rubber ends right off the ear pieces. I would be really concerned about cooking...
The bumper looks nice with the exception of the cheesy looking lights. It looks like they had a good design going and then just dropped the ball with the lights. Since they obviously have a plasma cutter, they should have cut a few ovals and put in some flush mount LED lights. Maybe something...
