2003 Jeep Liberty gas tank issue.....

Suspect the fuel line connection - since your fuel pump is in the tank, there is pressure on the line right from key on. drop the tank and see what is going. There was a way to open an access hatch - (home made) and access from the top, but it is not factory and you risk sparks near gasoline.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Sometimes the switch gets gunked up with sludge from extended interval (no) oil changes. It is easy to get out with the filter out of the way. I have pulled mine before and sprayed carb / brake clean in the port on the switch and a bit in the threaded hole. Cleared my flicker right up on one...

    Timing Chain Tensioners etc ..

I prefer to use known items when you (he) has to go this far into the engine. For just tensioners, I would follow his recommendations. Remember, he is the one who will stand behind this work. Personally, I have used Cloyes (specialize in engine timing sets) or Melling for other engine...

2002 Jeep Cherokee sport 2.4 petrol-Broken Cam-belt, how do I realign the Camshafts?

Graham - You do know that the engine must be ‘in time’ already before you do a compression check, right? I don’t know if 2.4 is an ‘interference’ or ‘non-interference’ engine. Non - there is no chance for the valves to strike the pistons, and cams rotate freely with no issues...

Crank but no start Cherokee Sport 2.4 2002... *Update: This has been solved, it was a broken Cam Belt (I won't be trusting AA diagnosis again)

Good to know we are not all crazy. 3.7 have chains. Never thought of a cam belt issue.

Crank but no start Cherokee Sport 2.4 2002... *Update: This has been solved, it was a broken Cam Belt (I won't be trusting AA diagnosis again)

Graham - Are you seeing any signal at the fuel injectors? I’m not familiar with the 2.4, just thinking along. Anywhere you see a 5 volt signal, it is (IMO) a reference signal for the PCM/ECM to monitor the action and report back to the computer. How many pins on the coil pack for this beast?

    2007 Jeep Liberty PCM/ECM Vendors

Cool! Let’s get a fuel pressure gage on this jeep and see what you have. Low FP will cause stalling and unfortunately sometimes fuel pumps will fail intermittently instead of all or nothing. On a jeep that has been sitting awhile, you should still have pressure on the rail - it is a...

    2007 Jeep Liberty PCM/ECM Vendors

Pat - How about some detail as to why you are led to replace the PCM? Always curious, as once I spent 400 or so on a computer for a gen 2 dakota that would not run. The new computer did nothing either. Long story, but there was a link, in the harness, below the battery that corroded and...

P1411 obd code my fuel gauge will not work. I checked wiring harness from tank to rear left side seat all wires are good. Checked sending unit .

Welcome! Perhaps a bit more detail and a whole ton of patience may serve you better. Posting on the forum near midnite and waiting a whole 33 minutes expecting an answer is a bit over the top. Maybe I am just taking your post the wrong way. I have had a very busy work week at 70 ish hours...

    Squeak sound after rebuild

Maybe try a mechanic’s. Stethoscope along the valve cover on each cylinder and see if you can isolate the noise to a single cylinder, which it sounds like just one. With the bottom end rebuild, I would be thinking that I have a pushrod / cam lifter isssue. The older 04, 03 and 02 had huge weep...

    Greetings and seeking KJ wisdom

If it were me, i would not spend the cash for a lift, since the body is rusty. I have 2 of these. 04 and 06. Neither worthy of a lift imo.

What is the reason for the 3 codes at the same time?

My spanish is non existent, but i think you need to check bank 2 o2 sensor upstream (near the engine) for wiring issues or possible replacement. If you do replace it, use NGK sensors. These jeeps are very particular for sensors and electrical items.

    09 Won't Idle, No Codes

The heater is part of the sensor. Note - if your live data shows bad, still check the wiring closely. On our older jeeps, the wire can be corroded inside (green crusties) and weak but have insulation intact. Odd behavior for a jeep that was running snd now wont - just after being towed.
