The population of Lincoln county is 5,000 people. They may well have no tow companies out there. No junkyards, etc. That's why they will have to go into Henderson. Or elsewhere. Same here. Rural counties with few people and no services, no big stores, etc. It's all growing but still...- David13

I imagine they have insurance that takes them, and gets someone to do something with them. Scrapped out, and yes, some get back on the street with a salvage title, but ... ALL NEW!- David13

Front Crossmember
I have gone thru' the parts catalog and that is the right number for the crossmember. But I don't see the bolts. There is no index on the parts list. Just 520 pages to thumb thru' to try to find anything. dc- David13

Front Crossmember
There is also some type of bracket or such that sits under the transfer case on the crossmember. It has 3 or 4 bolts coming downward into the crossmember at the center point. That looks to have no rust on it, but the bolts are quite rusty. There I only want to replace the bolts. dc- David13

My front crossmember, under the transfer case is rusty. I want to replace it. It looks like moparwholesaleparts has it. $45. Not a bad price. For a new one. I suppose they will also have the bolts. They are rusty also. What about the nuts which appear to be welded into the frame? Will...- David13

2011 oil filter removal help
Yes, that is the way I did it on my 08. Remove front grille and driver's side headlight. The big issue is getting the front grille off. You have to pull on it to where you think you will break it. But you don't. It just twangs off. There are a couple videos out there on it. There is also... -

What did you do to your jeep today?
Jacked up the rear end with the new Harbor Freight Daytona 3 ton jack. It weighs 80 lbs, so I also got a Harbor Freight hand cart to roll it around on. Also Walmart Torin Black Jack 3 and 6 ton jack stands. Took off rear passenger wheel. Confirmed it does have a slow leak but no nail or...- David13

What I found is that many of the devices say they are bi directional, but it turns out only for some very few cars. Charged the battery. And got the Autel Maxicom MK808. We may have weather nice enough to get it onto the Jeep on Sunday. More snow predicted for Saturday night, so maybe not. I don't see anything wrong with a guy bringing his unicycle, if he wants to. I never carry an extra jack. I only intend to use my LIberty to pull my Honda Rancher 420 on a trailer. I can't debate you on that. There's some good aftermarket, and some bad. But there's also dirt cheap, and total junk. Not worth putting on. dc- David13
