    Water Pump Failure

Not sure what year you have but check Rockauto for any premium water pumps… Just noticed that they are selling a Melling brand water pump. From my time spent on Cummins forums, the scuttlebutt is that Melling at least CLAIMS to make a point of using premium and/or upgraded seals and bearings on...

    Water Pump Failure

Wow…sorry to see the excessive and cascading carnage !!! Note that the most common STARTING failure point of mechanical water pumps is bearing SEAL failure (ie leakage), leading to actual bearing failure (from grease washout and corrosion) and only then, catastrophic impeller failure from...

What did you do to your jeep today?

To anyone interested, it looks like rockauto still has the Borg Warner blower motor resistor on a wholesale closeout for $8.88 plus S/H This is the one that fits a Dodge Stratus and/or Chrysler Sebring but ALSO our Jeep KJ...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I agree that Four Seasons generally manufactures good quality AC components…they are actually now a subsidiary of Standard Motor Products, which I have also successfully used for engine sensors, as well as ignition parts, on my other vehicles. In fact, SMP now owns Borg Warner Division as well.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Borg Warner (at least used to) make high quality import parts, so I am hoping that they still do even On a brighter note, I paid only $9 + $6 s/h for it as a rockauto closeout.

2002 Jeep Liberty coolant bleeding nut rusted shut

That said other posters are correct PB Blaster is FAR superior to WD40 as a penetrant You really want to use it to “pre soak” suspension parts/nuts&bolts SEVERAL times before you do any suspension replacement work, your life will be MUCH easier and your knuckles with thank you!!!

Liberty KJ 3.7 Rear right wheel lock up, metal sound.

Time to jack up the rear axle and re move the rear wheels to inspect condition of the brake pads, calipers and rotors. if all the brake components look ok then you’ll need to pull the cover off the rear differential to check the condition of the ring and pinion gear. All thst said if while...

What did you do to your jeep today?

True dat… used to happen on my Dakota truck … used a long 1/2” iron pipe taped up on one end like a pool cue to tap the starter from the top of the engine compartment while a freind turned the key … several layers of electrical tape coating the one end of the iron pipe kept me from having to...

    Thermostat/heat issue

Could be the temp sensor… or it could also be the cooling thermostat stuck open. Does it seem to take longer then usual for engine to heat up?

I realize that you already ordered a new one, but for anyone else with this type of seat belt problem, I have found that liberal use of WD40 followed with compressed air, repeated a few times, will do the trick.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Id have to measure it to find out exactly, but the ARB diff cover is close to 3/8" thick made from nodular iron. While it is THICK, it is NOT high profile. IMO, it is extremely well designed and built. Like @profdlp said, I bought it mainly for the mag drain plug and dipstick, but am well...
