    4x4 shifting issue

That would be the 231 or command track. Does the 4x4 shifter have a full time and part time on the handle or just the part time?

    4x4 shifting issue

I think something changed based on year. My 02 took the bigger black rubber bushings. My 05 took a small white plastic one. They were both the full time 242 case.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Probably inspected Friday afternoon around 3pm ;)

What did you do to your jeep today?

This is so true! It's happening in many sectors. Pick and choose the jobs based on the best return. I wish @lfhoward was closer too. I'm not a mechanic but have been deep into my 02 for a spun bearing, crank swap and headgaskets. I could definitely help figure out what happened.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I'm sure they'd be glad to dig deeper for a fee... They are a business so they're not going to dig into anything unless you tell them and are prepared to pay. Their diagnosis is suspect now though. Like prof said I'd be leary of them. It could be a number of things without further inspection...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Any collateral damage? A rocker and spring pieces, retainer and keeper could bounce around and contact the cam and other moving parts in there. Although an exhaust rocker will usually just fall out of the way.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Yes! This should be step one!

What did you do to your jeep today?

If the spring is broken then the valve is not sealing hence no compression in the cylinder and the rocker would probably fall off. I'd think you'd hear things hitting if it dropped enough. A rocker coming of would close the valve (been there). If the valve seat failed it could be slightly open...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Pull the plug and get a boroscope down there before you waste your time trying to replace the spring. See if the piston is damaged. Seems like you'd have to replace the valve too. That means pulling the head.

    Rear brakes

I wouldn't recommend pinching a line off. That may damage the line. You could disconnect the line from the caliper and plug it. Then do the rebuild and reattach. You'll have to bleed the caliper anyway.

Replacing 20028 TPMS Sensors with 29227

Does your autel scanner plug into the obd2 or just go wireless? I have the simple one that is limited in what it can do. Can you enter the mode with existing id's and clone the last one that worked to the new one? Mine can't program but can clone.

    Rear brakes

Looks like you should think about swapping out that caliper soon. Doesn't look like it's leaking at all but probably not going to last too long. You probably could just change the piston and seal but easier to change the whole caliper.

    P0508/P0522/P0688

I'm not a Chrysler expert but I think it powers the coils, injectors and maybe the fuel pump. Probably more but not sure.

What did you do to your jeep today?

No one uses mirrors around me. Just gun it and go. People haven't heard of impenetrability, or they're trying to collect more data. Maybe they think they're bosons.

    CEL - Cylinder Misfire

My 02 did that lights out thing a couple times. I wound up replacing the battery. It was an old battery and these things are pretty sensitive to any voltage drop. Is it charging ok? I also had a blinking #6 misfire at one point but my coolant reservoir had dripped on it.

    Wheel bearing or axle....????

I'd definitely eliminate the possibility of the sticking caliper first. That could cause a hum that might be sensitive to turning. My next guess would be wheel bearing. Those are classic symptoms. That hum will continue to get worse of course, which will help the diagnosis. I've driven quite a...

    My Blue KJ

Ain't that the truth! Mine are also both long gone. I keep looking for another KJ too, but things are expensive around me. Can't even find a decent project. Really pondering getting a KK. Never had one but always liked the look. Someday...

Replaced coils and plugs but still have a misfire????

Like LibertyTC said gap should be around 0.04". That's what the sticker under the hood called for with the copper core plugs. I ran that gap too but some will say 0.035 to 0.044. Opinions vary and it may vary with different types of plugs.
