    Heavy duty rear coils

Putting 500lbs on the hitch is going to make the front end feel super light. With that, I would recommend using air lift air bags as opposed to different coil springs.

    Weird 4x4 issue

I wasnt aware that they had sycro's. Im seeing that early 231's did, but Im not sure if these do. Im not sure why they would need sycro's. Everything should be spinning at the same speed, given youre not doing what your friend did.

    Weird 4x4 issue

Im assuming its not always been like this? Ive found that all tcases will shift better if you are rolling 2-3mph in N. They normally always pop right in. Its tough to get them to shift when youre stopped.

    OME VS Bilstein

Ive never tried Bilsteins on a KJ but I do have them on my ZJ's. No clue if they are similar to the shocks for the KJ, but my ZJ's definitely have a more sporty ride than my KJ with the OME shocks. Kinda comparing apples to oranges with the IFS though.

Yeah, with the way things are now days, I wouldn't hesitate to replace a head... Then again, I would just replace the head no matter what. Im not getting rid of my KJ.

Water actually down in the cylinder? Or just around the spark plug? Are you losing coolant? I've only been around one bad head gasket on a 4.7 and it only causes misfires when its first started. Its been leaking for around 15 years, still running.

No codes? If it were a misfire, I imagine it would throw a code.

    CJC Transmission pan

I too have installed the PML pan and am happy with it. It DOES NOT have internal cooling fins, but it does seem to lower the trans temps. Unfortunately I used RTV to install it, I didnt know about the gasket. No leaks though.

Can you mount factory skid plates on a Liberty that didn't come with them?

No, they are not removeable. You can buy a nutsert tool that makes quick work of installing them. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TODXQW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Front differential crush washer/pinion nut torque 500 ft/lbs??

That cannot be correct. I installed 4.10's in my front diff and did not get anywhere near that. Pretty sure I recall torqueing to 160 then torquing in 5lb increments till the play was gone. Then I torqued till I got the desired rotating torque. Gotta be a typo.

Yes, the cooler is on the return (low pressure) side.

    Drive wheels

You'll be stuck spinning the rear wheels in full time with chains on the front. Full time is really only useful when the roads are partly covered in snow or its raining. If the roads are completely snow covered, I suppose it doesn't matter where the chains are, but use part time.

Front end passenger side intermittent thumping vibration???

Mine did that many years ago and it was a worn out intermediate shaft where the CV slides on. I had to get a new shaft and a new CV joint since I couldn't get the CV joint off of the shaft. That was in 2008 and when I replaced it, I packed it full of grease. Took it apart in 2020 and the grease...

    2005 Liberty TPMS - OBD

My Autel 808S-TS does everything. Does your KJ not tell you the pressures? Does it only have a light that comes on when a tire is low or a sensor is bad?

HD cooling dual fan question please

Exactly, its nice having a backup. Not many vehicles are capable of having a backup like the KJ.... Especially when its can be a critical failure if the 3.7 overheats. I would only wire it to the high speed wire if I was certain the circuit can handle that higher amperage.

I've spun bearings on every 3.7 I've owned..

HD cooling dual fan question please

Yes sir, you can just add the clutch/ fan blades... Thats exactly what I did on my 2004 and it works perfect. And thats exactly why I added the mechanical clutch and fan, for towing. Another interesting tid bit, the towing package came with a bigger transmission cooler. I finally got my hands on...

    Gear Pattern, Is it Good?

That sure looks perfect to me. You said you added 0.01", what did you end up taking back out to get the final pattern? You're going to like that TT if you've never driven with one. I got to drive my KJ in the snow this week for the first time after installing the TT in mine and the difference...

HD cooling dual fan question please

That is indeed the HD cooling shroud... BUT, thats the non-HD electric fan. Im going to throw some more odd facts in the mix, thats most likely from a 2004 KJ. For whatever reason, ALL 2004 KJ's came with the bigger shroud like that. Didnt matter if it had the HD cooling package or not, it got...
