sig. got the heavy fronts and the mid rears. she rides more truck like now, when unladen, but stick 3 people, all their crap for 2 weeks, a roof bag, and 3 bikes off the back, and it rides a lot better. can handle the plow up front and ~400# ballast in the back when the season comes.- sota

*********. every single document I can find says, the front and rear u-joints are the same. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. so why the **** does mine have a 3.875" front yolk and a 3.5" rear yolk?!?!?!? needless to say, Napa is getting me the SMALLER u-joint (at 2x the price I paid @ RA) tomorrow, as no one...- sota

not yet, that's my next step. also going to measure it and see what it'll cost to replace it, just in case. I'm supposed to be picking up some stuff in the next couple of days, and this is really putting a cramp in that.- sota

*sigh* boomerang is replaced. what a cluster. pulled the rear driveshaft. trying to get the u-joints out. they are SEIZED in hard. might have to call around to a couple shops and see if anyone can just disassemble them for me. if not, I get to buy an expensive rear driveshaft.- sota

dedicated snows are somewhat thing of the past in more metro suburban areas. they plow so damn much and salt the roads like you're driving on pure cocaine. combined with the impressive advancements in all season tires and unless you live someplace where they don't plow all winter, full on snow...- sota

windshield. the khaki jeep I sold had a leak at the top of the windshield. OE windshield as well, so not a replacement. the glue application was insufficient, and water would actually wick UP an inside groove on the passenger side. -

Ok so the TopDon T-Ninja 1000 doesn't have anything useful over the Autel KM100E. In fact the latter has free lifetime updates supposedly, the former does not. I have not, as I bought an Autel MS906Pro-BT 3(?) years ago, and it's served me well enough since. Only reason I've been looking at other tools right now, is for IMMO functionality beyond what the 906Pro does, without spending $4000. Frankly I just want to be able to reliably pull IMMO passwords...- sota

New guy looking at getting a Liberty
that's why I'm saying they should have been done. Diffs have a only a 30k service interval according to the book. pretty sure that's the same on the t-case. One thing I *can* tell you is, 130k MILES is too far. :D- sota

235/70/16 Front + 265/75/16 Rear?
and now you can't do a proper tire rotation. which means the rears wear more than the fronts. which screws with the transfer case and driveline when in PT 4WD, or runs the diff more in FT 4WD. if you're not doing it "for looks", then why do it at all?- sota

only you can make that call. I've seen several of these run north of 250k MILES (freedom units... that's 402k maple syrups :D ) and farther. now will something else expensive break at some point? my crystal ball broke many decades ago. :D- sota

this is what a jeep I recently sold (with full disclosure btw) is doing. next time he's out of country for a week i'm getting it back to drop the solenoid pack and clean it, to see if that fixes it. trans was poorly maintained before I got it (never changed in 136k miles... yea brown ugly) so...- sota
