New guy looking at getting a Liberty

service records. especially surrounding the transmission, transfer case, differentials. most people will do their oil, but not the others. and at that mileage (maple syrup units) it should have had all of those done at least once if not multiple times.

Need to replace my 2002 KJ engine

And yet I can sit here and tell you stories about "reputable" shops telling people to **** (present company included... F U Jasper...) when it comes to issues with their "rebuilds" within warranty. Sad fact it, no matter what it's still a crap shoot.

What did you do to your jeep today?

they do it for pretty much any fluid. i've sent oil, transmission, diff, t-case (which is just atf+4 anyways), etc. off to be checked. pretty much a defacto event every time I buy a used car. you can learn important things, or confirm suspicions that way.

What did you do to your jeep today?

the flex joint is a heim joint style. good points: it's greasable, probably rebuildable, has better flexibility if you're articulating. bad points: it's going to need that maintenance as it's open to the elements in a place where it'll definitely get dirty when off-roading, and yes it'll...

Need to replace my 2002 KJ engine

Unless there's a second solenoid pack I don't know about, the pack is pretty easy to get to. drop the pan, drop the filter, undo 4 (iirc?) bolts, and it drops out. unplug the connector obviously.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I was just going to get the cheapest one really, and fill the body mounts. What I wish is, someone made one with a greaseable ball joint. Now that I have a ryobi powered grease gun and one of those fancy quick nipple couplers, I have no excuses NOT to grease all the things. :D I need to...

I saw the ironrock one and, I like it, but I don't like it THAT much :D I'm going to order a new boomerang, and give it the filled urethane treatment so many other bushigs I've dealt with.

What did you do to your jeep today?

you know, I swear I did the boomerang, but I can't find it in my notes. need to do more digging. Well... no order for one on Rock Auto. Nothing on amazon. And the ebay order was in 2024 and that went on the khaki jeep. so I guess, I never did buy one?

What did you do to your jeep today?

so I still have a wandering problem, even after installing the rack bushings. Only suspension bits that haven't been replaced are the rack itself and the rear lower arms. Hoping to do the latter soon, but I want to urethane fill the bushings first. Also has anyone ever tried to slot the body...
