FYI, ratchet straps make ****** R&R *much* easier. One fore, one aft, use them to slowly lift/lower each end as needed.- burntkat

Replaced my ****** mount... Still got something thumping around underneath. Will have to rig a camera to troubleshoot further. Did a lot of work on the wife's ZJ. Exhaust work - I now have only one non-welded joint in the entire exhaust. No more of this crap with the muffler torquing due to the...- burntkat

Perfect excuse/opportunity to upgrade to JIC fitting adapters, and - 6JIC hose (what you'd normally see in a lift truck or other fluid power systems). Had the same problem in my 89 S10. They wanted $180 for a new set of hard lines. I replace the fittings with adapters and the hard line with hose...- burntkat

I have learned to get rubber at the chassis whenever possible if I'm going to daily a vehicle. Poly/solids (to include aerospace heims and the like) is going to transmit a hell of a lot of NVH into the cabin.- burntkat

Fool's errand. You're already that deep into the engine and have to take the timing set completely apart to do the tensioners (IIRC, it's been about a year). It's maybe 300 bucks in parts, don't cheap out on the parts or the effort. Further info for thought... These engines are known for issues...- burntkat
