What did you do to your jeep today?

It's a great tool for several uses - I keep one in each vehicle for such uses, and also one dedicated to the kitchen. Yes, the kitchen. There's no better way to tell your cast iron skillet is at exactly the right temperature to crack those first few eggs, sear the pot roast, etc. That and...

What did you do to your jeep today?

What do the MM marks correlate to? I'm unaware of a way to determine the mm of fluid in the trans of any passenger vehicle.

What kind of 'Napa reman filter' are we talking about? Sounds like PS, but I'm not familiar with a remanufactured filter of any sort. Is this an I line filter you added to the power steering system? In that case - you have it oriented correctly, on the return line to the reservoir, yes?

What did you do to your jeep today?

Yes. Honestly, 75k on a joint isn't horrible. I have a similar problem with my front shaft (which I REALLY need to rebuild and get out of the cargo area). In my case it was stupidity in my part - I left out the cardboard 'seals'.... Guess where my grease is... The underbody and the DS of the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Before buying any 'imaginative' bulbs (yes those are nice bulbs, but don't last longer in my experience), one should educate themselves on the impact of voltage drop on halogen bulbs... Especially when the current is run through 30 feet or so of barely-adequate wire that is 20 or more years old...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I need to replace my bulbs. I only have one operable high beam. Fortunately the aftermarket driving lights are god awful bright should I need more light, and the factory low beams seem quite good, too. Honestly, need to crack open the spare housings and do a projector upgrade, and see about...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Haven't done much lately other than drive it, owing to the monsoon season. I splash in every puddle I can, and every muddy ditch I can get away with to enjoy the locked rear end, of course... Because apparently I'm still 5 years old and HAVE to. The jeep just doesn't look right without a coat of...

DA the whole thing, mask and shoot it with your choice of Rustoleum or Durabak (UV stable type, either smooth or crunchy flavors) I will be doing mine in smooth.

Those would be the upgraded, recalled arms. Before the recall was done on my 05, the arms were roughly 2x2 EDIT oh, you've a KK. I got nothing...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Haven't done much to mine except drive it and swear at the - EDITED- AC for not working. Because brother, it's HOT out. Took my pup to the vet for a checkup today. Was legitimately concerned for her health in the heat. Put the spacers on my KJ last weekend. 1.5" spacers, of course I'm getting...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Rear clunk is most likely the wishbone. Also possibly the transfer case splines - grease them, and inspect joints too... Regarding those arms - check and see if yours has had the recall done on the rear arms. They were known for breaking on G1 vehicles, apparently. The recall arms are a...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I had a whole reply to this, but it got eaten. Temporary fix, maybe. But don't expect it to last. The issue is upstream of that, in the body of the lever.

The kid and I have been looking at these. I've always used a torch. Induction has its obvious bonuses. It goes without saying, fasteners MUST be replaced afterwards, even if they 'look fine'... Because they have been annealed and are no longer rated.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Sorry to have been correct. I am working on an electric parking brake. Best approach for the moment is a TC mounted unit, pulled off of a Tesla. I'm trying to find electric parking brakes off of other cars which don't have a hydraulic circuit involved. If anyone has potential donors, I'm all...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Cutting the coil is likely a mistake. You've increased the rate of the spring (because physics) and can expect a harsher ride as well as it being unlikely you will see the desired reduction in ride height. Fingers crossed for you
