You should confirm that, just out of my morbid curiosity. If its true, it is because your clearly badassed, and DC recognized that when they made your libby. O:)
(and if not, don't worry, you can still be a badass)
Note that I didn't agree with you at all.
You should realize that the renegade uses a 160 amp alternator, and the limited/sport uses the 136 amp. Two different alternators for different trim levels. A 3.7 is a 3.7 is a 3.7, but the alternators are different for the rennegade to run the...
Yep. So um, go ahead and read eddo's post on the previous page. Pretty sure he did. Is it entirely possible that one of those is the 160amp and the other is the 136amp?
Arguing on the internet is stupid, but fun!
Ok so everytime you call a dealer to order an alternator they need your VIN so they know if your 05 is one of the "First few thousand" and they need the magic alternator for your particular motor? It's not the entire model year? Just trying to clarify, since you clearly know so much about the...
I'd just go with new springs myself. OME HD springs are popular, or you could try the CRD springs as CRD4Liberty suggested. Your stock springs are going to wear out with that much weight on them.
Not to mention that if the belt stoped completely dead, the friction from that still-spinning crank pulley would dry it out in about .0000237 (aprox! \:D/ ) seconds, and either burn through, or start driving the belt again. Unless it was submerged, in which case it would probally still muck it...
God forbid chrysler use regular u-joints! :) You'll have to forgive me, i wasn't even thinking about the driveshaft this morning. Little to tired after work! \:D/
So what your saying copenhagen, is that the rubber seal around the d/s near number 7 on this image is gone? Smurf's assesment is...
Errr... the front dosen't appear to have a boot. The rear has a rubber boot over the slip yoke, but i don't think that the front does.
I could be wrong, but i don't see a picture of one in either the parts or the service manuals.
Which transfer case? The 242 (Select-Trac)or the 231 (Command-Trac)?
These instructions are for the 242, but they're basically the same as the 231. Keep in mind that your t-case is serviced with ATF. If the seal is gone it's probally low/empty.
The top anchor (back of the seat, in the trunk region) is only for when the seat gets turned around forward facing. Infants have to be rear-facing. Apparently, they recomend rear-facing as long as you can.
I dunno, that's what my wife tells me, and she works with kids. :)
Nothing to it! Your jeep should have both upper and lower LATCH anchors available. Make sure to read both your owners manual, and more importantly, the car seat directions. I can't emphasize that enough!
And if your anything like me, your going to be driving like a grandma home from the...
Checked out fine as in taken off, and checked for warpage/runout etc? or just visually inspected.
I dunno what it is, but my 02 always seems to warp it's rotors, no matter how nice i am to them.
Pop the rear glass open, and near the latch you'll see a little like 1" square pad that the glass pushes on when it closes. Put some grease on it. Voila!
That's solves it about 99% of the time, you may have to get freaky and adjust the tailgate though.
I don't know about a cleaning service, but those Mr. Clean Magic Eraser things work pretty well on the seats, just gotta remember to use leather conditioner when your done!
my .02 :)
