I drove it to town and when i got ready to leave i pull the keys from my pocket for a Ford 500 . I started to use it and saw the key and stopped . I got the Jeep key out of my pocket and tried it but all that happen was the dash lights came on. It wouldnt crank. I by passed the starter relay it turned over but didnt start.

if you ‘bypassed’ the relay - how so? Did you just unplug it altogether? if yes - isn’t going to start.
if you mean jumpering the correct wires in the relay socket and no start, did you hear a click? Possible bad starter or weak battery.

When you turn the key nothing happens but you push the relay it spins the engine over but it wont start and run.I took the cover off the relay and pushed the contact while the key was in the run . It turned over but didnt start. I wonder if the other key both have chips made the jeeps computer do something.

ok - good

so starter good, battery good.

Do we have any dash lights when the key is in the run position?

likely as ltd02 says above, the actuator pin.

great that you got it sorted!

Now you have me wanting to get a spare pin just in case. I suppose the same reason I keep a spare transfer case cable bushing.
