Recovering lurker

Hello all

My names Daniel and I live in the Columbia Gorge, just outside Vancouver WA. I finally found a Liberty CRD I couldn't say no to, at PicknPull of all places, very serendipity.

I repair, maintain, and improve my own vehicles as a rule, and forums have been instrumental in that. (Nice to meet you Jeepkj and lostjeeps) This is my first Jeep, first 4x4, and second diesel, and I am stoked!
I cant think of a better platform for my needs than the 2.8 Liberty and I’m excited to get to know the old girl.

Given my low buy in cost I’m hopeful I can mod the crap out of this thing and still come out close to Blue Book, ARB bumpers are not on my radar, lol. But rock rails and an OME lift are, as well as all the engine, fuel, exhaust, and other tweaks that will make it the best it can be. (Obviously my price point is a little delusional)

A thousand thanks to all who have come before, your contributions and guidance are a huge part of why I feel comfortable taking this on.

And hopefully I can add some value while I’m here.

It's obvious you've been doing some reading since you mention the OME lift! Nice! Sometimes it pays off being a lurker so you don't have to ask Tommudd what he thinks of spacer lifts.

I'm also glad to see you mention LostJeeps. The CRD community over there is pretty vibrant, maybe even more than here. But we have a lot of good general knowledge and wisdom to share, and a sense of humor. The CRD platform is going to need a lot of TLC compared to the 3.7L gas engine, but if this is your second diesel, you went in with your eyes open. All that torque and the gas mileage of a diesel would be nice though!
