242 t.case

I don’t sure if it is a problem or not ,sometimes I change 2wd to part time ,the dashboard light shows part time but it’s not really there(only rear wheels are spinning),I’m trying 2,3 times to play with the shifter and it’s in,what do you think?

It's pretty new , I replaced it 2 years ago (WVE 1S4129 )
but in my opinion the main issue is: if I change from 2wd to PART-TIME its should get into it in the first try and not after 3 or 4 times of tries with the interior shifter(also new-I replaced the shifter one year ago) its happens sometimes also with 4low,i change from part time to 4 low (light shows 4 low) and than im trying to climb and only 2 rear wheels are spinning

the questions I would have are:
what happens if you try Neutral on the t-case when it misbehaves.
when you're in 4LO does it actually spin at a rate commensurate to being in 4LO?
i'm wondering if there isn't something wrong inside the t-case.
