Keep in mind the measurement could be skewed if the stud isn't straight in the housing. I'm pretty sure you have the correct ones, well 2 sets now. JBA customer service is just that good! There was a slim chance you got the incorrect ones and JBA didn't hesitate to send another set.
Yeah man he was almost too fast sending the extra ones. I had moved in the meantime and have a new address work up to a message saying it was being overnighted. Messaged him quickly back and he caught it in time and sure enough it was here first thing this morning. Excellent customer service. Exact opposite experience I had from suspensionlift.com I highly recommend never buying anything from those clowns.

I’ll check it out for you tomorrow. Just to confirm, you mean the face of the ball joint where it bolts to the top of the UCA, to the tip, right? Since there should be no difference KK vs KJ in the ball joints, this should be the info we need.
Thank you!

Now that I’m looking at it I think the first measurement the tech takes is incorrect. He measures from the bottom of the red metal and where marlin drew the top line is actually on top of the piece of metal and below the greyish thing. Apologies for my total lack of proper terminology lol. Should be measuring from the green line and the first measurement is from below it at the purple line. That makes me more confident it’s correct, because now the measurement is really really close to 4 inches. Originally it was 3.5. Oops

WONDER WHY I wasted my time ...................................LOL
Wasted your time what? I’ve gotten some
Helpful replies on here but really none of them have come from you. What did you do you felt was a waste of time?

multiple times you asked for more info like you were going to be involved in the discussion but then when I offered an answer to your questions you didn’t respond. Not a single thing you said in this thread was helpful. It’s funny you think you wasted your time with your pointless questions and tangential comments. I’ve seen so many threads with your outright hostility being good at lifting jeeps is no excuse to speak to folks the way you do.

Got aligned guy said everything went well and all the work looked great. Now it’s rubbing really bad on the front inner fender liner and also where the flare meets the liner. Sounded really not great hitting the flare. Will get some video tommro along with measurements of my flare height. And will prob make a new post once I have all the relevant info. Just have this pic where you can see the tire was stuffed against the liner.

If you are running wheel spacers to push your tires outwards, you could try removing them to see if the rubbing goes away. The farther-out wheels require a wider steering arc which hits the fender liners. Also extended Teraflex front bump stops will save your fender flares from being contacted when flexing.

Ok. Must be the backspacing of the wheels that pushes the tires out past the flares.

Do you have a clevis lift on the front end yet? (Can use 3 conduit nuts for 3/8” of space, which translates into 3/4” additional lift at the wheels, if I remember correctly.) That could potentially get you out of the range where the tires rub. On the rear another isolator stacked on top of the spring should bring the rear end up to match, for about a 3” lift all around. Of course another alignment would be needed after, which I know is expensive to keep doing.

I was wondering why the wheels were out past the flares. I’m running a setup that I thought wouldnt rubbing terribly. 16x7 wheels with 4 inches of backspacing. I had no intention of them being outside the flares as I’ve read many people talk about getting spacers to do so and then folks telling them it’s a bad idea. If I added the extra height do you think
I could avoid cutting parts of the body off? It looks like I’ll need to trim some plastic where the air dam connects to the bumper. Any chance you have a link for the clevis lift?

I don’t have the clevis lift and actually ended up about half an inch shorter than I was expecting as I’m sitting at 21 inches on all four corners so maybe the clevis lift is a good idea. I did grab a dremel tool and a heat gun today so I’m gonna trim a bit and see what happens. I’d hate to damage my brand new jeep with the rubbing so want to do whatever I need to to solve the situation. The alignment guys were surprised with how good of shape it’s in and said it aligned easily. It’s only got 62k on it so I’m very motivated to get it right quickly. Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it.
