Hi all, sorry for my first post being one asking for advice but here goes. My kj keyless entry loses power after the jeep has been off for more than 15 seconds. It starts working again after I unlock the door manually and open the door. When the interior lights come on from opening the door, it's as if it wakes up the keyless entry, as it starts working again. As long as something that's controlled by the bcm draws power, I get 15 seconds and then it stops until something else draws power from the bcm. Any ideas? Ps. I am excellent with electrical diagnostics and have a handheld oscilloscope and multimeter.

Welcome to the forum.
Do you have the factory key fob? Have you tried installing a new battery into the key fob?
After the vehicle sits overnight, with hood popped, what is the kj's battery voltage first thing in the AM?
It may be possible something is up with the BCM.
I would consider doing a complete OBD2 re-set, by by removing both battery terminals, & tape both cables together for 30minutes. (isolate away from battery)
Then re-connect the cables to battery.

Sounds like something in the battery management of your vehicle. Cutting total power off to ensure you don't completely drain the battery before next restart. I had a vehicle that did the same thing. My battery was faulty and the system kept shutting down. I say have a scan of your battery to check state of health, then worse case scan the system to see what's triggering the system to cut power to accessory type systems. Good luck.
