Lol, not really…

New to me 2006 Liberty, 165k, doing all kinds of maintenance that has been neglected by po. Been reading of others getting 17-18 mpg and I have been getting 13.5. Hopefully this will help increase my mpg.

Eaten electrode. Try to replace plugs every 30k. Hopefully you get better mileage then. ;)
Use NGK ZFR6F-11G and set gap at .040 inch.
The ignition fires these plugs hot !

Swap all fluids etc and get all maintenance up to date
Several things can affect mileage including those plugs
I get better than what you are , lifted , bigger tires, skids, aftermarket bumpers, pulling a trailer

Chipping away at it. Engine oil and filter, spark plugs, transmission filter and 5 new quarts, and air filter changed. Probably get front and rear pumpkins and transfer case this week. Wheels off for a quick powder coat and new tires in the shop to put on.

Keep getting random CEL’s that kept me from dumping money into this thing faster, but feel pretty confident about the status now. U1411 pops up, but I’ve had the battery cables off enough it gets reset, and a low oil pressure light at idle, which a quick clean of the plug staved off for now. New OEM sensor in hand, just need to find a socket to turn it with.

Bought this to pull a trailer with my RZR locally, the 6.7 and 20’ trailer is a bit overkill when I only have 1.5 miles to my riding area.

I have the OME 2” lift kit on order just to get the wheel wells off the tires a bit. Going to the hockey game Saturday to pick up pucks for bump stops!

It is the OME 1.5" ( medium ? ) kit. I am assuming it has the to short rear shocks, but I will change those for something else. Went to the local hockey team's match this weekend and got 4 hockey pucks for bump stops. Don't want to really lift it, just restore it to a stock+ height

Do not forget to drain and fill axles. You never know what the previous person did and how much water is in axles. Catch old fluid when draining and if clean and new, reuse. This rarely happens but with oil at $10-15 quart, well work catching it. Do BNOT assume plugs ar pre-gapped. Use dielectric grease on plug and boot grease on plug boots.

Low oil pressure at idle concerns me. I assume this is "after" new oil and filter. Double check with mechanical oil pressure gauge before "fixing" anything. could be sensor. I assume old oil is/was OK and acceptable old oil. I am going to assume low oil at "normal temperature" and idle and correct oil weight for engine. If everything "looks ok" but low oil pessure, I could check the oil pump spring, but would probably end up changing the oil pump. Whether high volume or pressure replacement pump should be considered, other members need comment.

If you cannot fix the oil pressure, my next work would be to look at cam shaft for wear, and then sadly would drop the pan and inspect crank shaft journals for excessive wear. I hope this is not your fate. Best of wishes.

Sensor was replaced and the light doesn’t come on now. Chalking it up to a failing sensor. It looked/felt like oil was leaking through it a little bit. Installed the lift yesterday while we were getting 4” of new snow. Let my daughter drive it today to school, so I’ve only gotten a few miles home from the shop, but it feels like it rides better, it was pretty harsh over the expansion joints in my road.

Axles and t-case fluid change is next. Lots of snow keeps my customers away, so extra time to work on personal things.

Did you get it aligned yet ?
Take a while for it to get settled and broke in, then another alignment

Alignment is Tuesday morning. Doesn’t “feel” out much, tracks straight and doesn’t pull either way.
