Sick of getting notifications

Every day, maybe 1/2-dozen e-mails that I can't stop & now don't even get the choice of choosing not to get them - not that it's ever done any good!

Thought "NO e-mails" was a bit drastic, then again the alternative is to close that in-box or, at least, never look at it. Mind you it's just dropped off my task bar - so maybe I'll just leave it like that: gone & soon forgotten.

Try clicking on your user avatar at the top of your screen, then, "preferences", and you should get a bunch of checkboxes.

What emails are you getting? Emails from someone replies to a thread you posted in? You can do remove it yourself as what @Johnny O posted above, but I just went and checked them for you in your account...

All sorted now, thanks. I'd never scrolled that far down; think I'd assumed it ended at e-mail preferences. All part of finding my around & settling in, I guess.

Still don't understand why each e-mail contains this link: disable emails from this thread, which I'd clicked on every time, got message confirming preferences changed but actually had no affect whatever. Still shouldn't get any more, not really bothered.

Very impressed that this forum is so accessible, a lot of on-line operations could learn a thing or two from that.
