Got the last box of body parts in. Now to take a week vacation from work and weld everything in place. And yes, all the boxes are full of Jeep parts

ll this talk of alignments reminds me that I’ve never had one done on my jeep, though the tires say it’s fine…

I took it on a grocery run yesterday. I imagine our next few trips will be taken in the Liberty since my wife’s Mariner has no AC. I still need to teach her how to drive stick.

So, after yesterday's misgivings/disillusionment (see elsewhere), finally got the replacement axleshaft swapped in & everything back together. So I'm content for the moment.

Oh, & started the hunt for an ABS sensor (no just walking into a parts store & buying such things over the counter here). Looks like RockAuto might be best bet, but it'll have to wait to next weekend, 'cos I don't have my $ payment card with me.

One thing to keep in mind that I read up on when it was time to replace mine, aftermarket and original equipment don't seem to play well when it comes to sensors.

I ended up replacing hub and sensor together with a china aftermarket one. I normally don't like going china, but usa isn't the quality it used to be. If I could look into the future and know the usa one I got would hold up, I'd of spent the 3x+ price they wanted. But, both with a 1 year warranty, and not being able to see and feel them in person, I couldn't justify the huge price difference.

ABS/Wheel Speed Sensor #11. All is well for now. MOOG sending a replacement for the one that came with the hub for free. Requested refunds for 5 others.
Wish there was a way to just disable that garbage.

Things are a little different here as it's aftermarket or nothing (unless by good fortune you get sent NOS parts) because main dealers have little knowledge of, & certainly no interest in, anything much over 5 years old. But, like everything else, there are brands you can trust & those to avoid. I bought an ABS sensor from RA before because it was so cheap it was worth the chance, so that gives a little comfort this time around. Not so sure about "white box" hubs though - but I'm hoping to avoid having to make that call.

The Jeep is at the mechanics getting regeared and new lower ball joints. Can’t wait to see how she performs when she is done
Just remember to break them in right
The right foot get itchy , but has to wait for a while

If you ever figure out how to do that, let me know! My dash has been lit up for a few years. I love not having traction control, but it also cancels out the cruise control...

This should be a great thread that we can keep going. That way we can all keep up with the small day to day tinkering and give some ideas to those looking to do something! Pics are strongly encouraged!!! (Cheers)
....removed the front propeller shaft, to stop the vibrations caused by the output shaft bearings. I have a replacement Zumbrota unit, but am waiting for a new Transfer Case Yolk seal.

What would you recommend as a break in period?
At least 500 miles
and no long trips , start out short , 20-30 miles, let it cool down do that a few times , then 50-75 , let cool then again
Then after at least 500 change gear oil and can go a bit longer .

Drive to work For a week, then take it on a bit longer for a drive till 500 miles. Then change fluid. Thanks

Got significantly POed by a bunch of PHDs and folks with grad degrees because they are too lazy to do really basic, SOP for 8 years stuff…so left early, fixed the bump stop issue in the parking lot, and then went out to the corn grid to do as my theme song ( by the Supersuckers) states: Turning dirt roads and dead ends to dust. Don’t have the cyclonic pre filter with me, so have one of my socks over the snorkel intake.
