This should be a great thread that we can keep going. That way we can all keep up with the small day to day tinkering and give some ideas to those looking to do something! Pics are strongly encouraged!!! (Cheers)

Looking good Johnny. I was getting my research trailer organized this afternoon too. I tidied up some wiring by putting it into flexible conduit, and got the trailer ready for its next adventure.

Is that a DIY custom trailer? I like it...nevermind, I read some more

I just checked and the max height on the gas tank hanger is between 12-13 inches tall. The clearance under the side of the Jeep is 15-15.5 inches from the rock sliders to the ground. Does this mean I can do all this work without having to jack the Jeep up? That would be amazing. It will work as long as the tallest part of the fuel tank is also under 15 inches tall.
Didn't have to jack mine up. Nice thing about the lift- only need a jack for working on wheels!

Awful nervous about the off road driving course this Saturday. I’m obsessively checking and rechecking articulation points and armor. Feel like I’m running short as I don’t have complete armor or a winch installed yet. (The remainder of the skid row plates and stuff to fab the bumpers won’t be delivered till after the trip.)

Tough part for me is how its alternating wheels, makes the things I can think of less likely to be bad on both sides, but with todays parts quality control ya never know.

It sounds like you have new parts in place, but still may not hurt just to check if they are all working smoothly if nothing else looks suspect of being broken. Most master cylinder problems on vehicles I've dealt with had the issue of hanging up or not applying enough force to all brakes, but still worth looking into as the culprit.

I couldn't find my post about it as I may of mentioned to you johnny, my slide pins on my front calipers seized in place, so I always mention it to others having any kind of issues it could cause.
One of the two pins is undersized and has a rubber sleeve that loves to expand and bind up. I checked mine and the solid pin fit well where the rubber sleeve went, so I went to the junkyard and got extras of the solid pins to put in.

They usually don't bind up, but you can always check if the caliper pistons are starting to act up, and don't operate smoothly.

Some brake lines I've seen have 2 jackets on them, and in the right conditions the inner can go, and use the outer as a reservoir.

Solved the issue by bleeding all the brake lines. Must have had some transient bubbles in there somewhere from when I rebuilt the front.

Seems like every time I have had to open up a sealed system it took a week to shake the bubbles loose. Glad you got it.

Went three whole weeks without the MIL and today on the way to the gym it returned again. Still the random misfire on #6. It’s the one issue I can’t figure out. Mild rough idle as result, as usual. Plug and COP fine. Injectors new too. Compression in specs. No other codes or symptoms.

Dang it.

Also discovered forum still sensors s.crew but not the word that rhymes with ****** dam.

I replaced the EVIC with one I got from ebay. The tire pressure section is functional, but it keeps aborting the training mode. Just the right front reporting properly. But that’s more than the original would do.

Still kind of odd to me that the old one could pass the self-test with the garage remote and TPMS sections dead. I also replaced this broken thing:

Drove it like I do every Monday through Friday,
98 miles a day and love every minute of it
PLUS saw a Tri Axle dump roll RIGHT in front of me
steep hill, dropped off the road into a ditch, tried to save it BUT NO
spun around, and slid down the hill with me watching

Finished loading for the first trip of the season. I assure you Bert is a wallowing beast. While more testing is needed, I suspect I may need to modify both my flat floor and gear (yet again) as she's a bit heavy in the *** end. Fully loaded you cant tell there's a lift. LOL

been having fun moving one of my toys.
It is a 1930s Fire Pump, Coventry ****** engine with a Godiva pump that served in Coventry during the blitz.
It has been sat in a friends barn for safe keeping for a few years with the sheep and owls hence the ****.
The twins helped me move it as it is not very light LOL
