clutch is out of the sebring.
haven't seen that much hair since I first watched Behind The Green Door on VHS.
disc is so smoked it physically rattles around between the flywheel and pressure plate.
no wonder this thing couldn't move under its own power.

Trade ya.
Try finding a clutch for a 2004 Chrysler Sebring GTC convertible 5 speed.
I got a new thread going on about that.

Eye-talian tune up? :D

I love me some Sea Foam for that. half a bottle through a vacuum line, other half in the tank, let it steep for 30 minutes, then beat on it like it owes you money. I love putting my cars in Spy Hunter mode. :D

Got to play with a Gladiator yesterday on Interstate ( hate Interstates by the way but )
Had to make a short 170 mile round trip yesterday after work to pick up some parts
Just got on the big road when a new Gladiator came up behind me
Typical mall rated , with light bar on roof , 3 light cubes per side on the windshield pillars and a 24 inch or so light bar on aftermarket front bumper
Line of trucks so I was stuck in passing lane behind them, he kept zig zagging back and forth right on my bumper couldn't even see his headlights most of the time
So in a couple of miles we made it free , by then he had totally ticked me off.
Coming to a long uphill grade running at 75 he starts to pass me , about a third of the way up I hear him hit passing gear
So I let him get a two Jeep length in front and then I took off and blew by him, downhills he is up to 80-85 trying to get ahead
But on hills he is dead , hard as he tried he couldn't make it around
Normally I would of let him go on the first hill
But the shaking his head and thumbs down pointing at the 03, then his middle finger very proudly sticking up at me in the passenger window when I had done nothing at that point but to be stuck in traffic in front of him just made me want to have some fun
When I got off my exit ( after he was never able to pass me in over 80 miles ) I then received a two handed bird salute
I hope I made his day as much as he made my day LOL
Well played, sir.

I see you have a 07 as well, I take it I'll be able to do this to my 07 when I'm ready and not have to worry about any CEL's after?

I don't want to upset all these extra electrical pixies! ;)

stratus has a recurring CEL now. downstream O2 readings are basically implausible to the computer, at random times.
pretty sure it's either a sensor fault, or I have a crack someplace upstream of that sensor. I know the exhaust has some pinholes now, and this summer I plan on attacking those issues, along with the rest. I got until 7/23 to fix it permanently. :D

Spent the day troubleshooting the passenger side hub. Can't find a reason it keeps eating ABS sensors. Worked until well after dark. Still stumped. Don't want to put yet another sensor in until I figure it out.

Clearable codes I'm fine with

That's rough still chasing the wheel speed sensors, and they are getting chewed up. After 7 of them of different brands, I'd say you could start looking at the hub as being defective? Can you take a measuring caliper to the depth of the tone ring, and compare it to your drivers side, or a wheel bearing from a parts store?

Sounds super frustrating. Which wheel(s) are eating the sensors? If one of the front ones, I could see how replacing the hub bearing could be a reset for the whole thing. In the rear, what would need replacing to do that? Sounds like maybe a piece of old sensor or a stone or something must be stuck in there, rotating between the tone ring and the new sensor, chewing it up?

So its the passenger front with the issue. The tone ring is contacting the face of the sensor intermittently as best as I can tell. Looking at the price of hub assemblies, I can put a Moog in for cheap.
