I lived in Massachusetts for four years, but last month moved to Texas. I now have a garage and don't have to street park. So today I got to empty my Jeep of all my accumulated parts and tools I was carrying around. The cargo area is empty again, but for a few emergency tools. If for no other reason, this made moving worthwhile.

Tried out that Zep brand industrial degreaser. It’s better than simple green industrial, but not even come close to State 999. Does OK in my parts washer, but is really foamy.

Been finding lots of NOS transfer skids for 70ish or less. DeadJeep has engine skids for 60. Which ones you after?
Transfer skids you say? Where?

Been finding lots of NOS transfer skids for 70ish or less. DeadJeep has engine skids for 60. Which ones you after?
Anything of reasonably decent quality which doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Just for Jeeps has them for 70$. Seen used ones on eBay for 45 pretty regularly

I had wanted the whole armor set for years but always had higher priorities that made it a "maybe the next thing after I ______" kind of thing. By the time I got to the point where I was ready to pull the trigger the stuff got hard to find...

Yeah, I wasn’t worried about armor until after last years big excursion. When I realized a lift and armor would extended my backcountry access even more and could minimize 10km solo hikes with gear and sampling equipment…well you know the rest…

Been a good day for the skid plate merchants, I see. How often do you think they get orders for the same thing within minutes of each other? LOL!

There’s long lead times due to manpower and shipping shortages, but I’m betting there’s some mom and pop buisness smiling right now.

I encourage everyone to be patient and friendly when communicating with vendors.

I’ve experienced about three week lead times on average. ( not including eBay and Marketplace)

Let’s face it, we are all searching for good deals on rare parts in a time of serious bull ****.

I am betting the parts will get here long before reliably decent weather makes its way back to the Cleveland area.

Got up at sunrise to take advantage of the fleeting warm temperatures. Had a two AM epiphany that led to the elimination of the “thunk grind” noise when oversteering.

Found that two old rusty washers on sway bar links were bent from corrosion. Replaced squishy bushings with PU two piece I had purchased as emergency repair parts and the thin rusty washers with heavy duty machine washers I had leftover from a job years ago. Problem solved.
