Odometer currently at 99,960. When I bought it it had 42,250. Not bad for a Jeep with a delivery date of October 2006. If I can make it to 200,000 it may outlive me.

You'll get it all out soon, just takes time on some of them
Most of the air in my cooling system was gone in 48 hours, but the last bit seemed to take a week. (Been a while since I did that so I think I'd better put that on my spring schedule.)

Getting old, put mudflaps on the rear of the 03
with one of my bumpers on the rear with the speed holes, bottom of flares cut off all the mud etc blows right back through the two outside holes making a mess
So now officially old man with mudflaps
next,
curb feelers ;)
squirrel tail on the antenna
fuzzy dice on the rear view
Wonder how many remember things like that ?

I remember them. But then I'm probably a lot older than you.

I never had any of them.

I don't recall that they were something old people had at all. They were just certain type of people that had them. And some of them were exclusive. I don't think a curb feeler guy would ever have the squirrel tail or the fuzzy dice. And vice versa.
dc

You either forgot or didn't know about the knob on the steering wheel.

Still run knobs ( steering wheel spinners ) on the steering wheel
Have one on the 04, ( with yes a lady in a bikini picture in it LOL )
3 of the tractors at work I have installed them on and just ordered 3 more the other day , so yes remember LOL
Some of the older cars ( 2 especially, 63 2 door hardtop Chevy and a 61 Ford Galaxie 2 door hard top ) I owed back in the very early 70s ( 72-73-4 ) had curb feelers, appletons, fender skirts, steering wheel spinners, dual slopped back antennae's on the rear deck etc I built them right, wish I would of kept them

Still have two sets of appletons

and I didn't mean old back then, but now days is mostly older since the kids never seen anything like that

Spinners.

Yeah, I remember someone telling me they were essential. I told him I would never have one of those on my car. I never did.

I started out with cars in the mid 60s. One of the newest I had was a 63' T Bird. I don't remember what gas mileage it got. But I'm sure it wasn't much more than 12 mpg.

I had a '60 Chevy, and the only good thing on it was the transmission. And a '58 Chevy, and the only bad thing on it was the transmission (auto). So I put the two of them together. And I can't remember if it was 3 or 4 on the floor.

The Jeep? Drove it to work today. Time to pour more gas into it. But it is still running. And no dash lights.

But my passenger rear tire keeps losing air and setting the tpms, but not real often. And not if I top it off. I ordered a tire for a spare and the body shop working on my Honda car has a tire machine, and he says he will help with what I need.

The purpose of the Jeep is to pull a trailer with the ATV on it to the mountain trails around here. Not drive to work So I'm planning another junkyard trip to get the body parts I need for the Honda car. I'm also looking at a used one with a ruined motor. Take off body panels then take it to the junkyard.

Tommudd, you are an old fashioned guy. An old style guy.

I'm just a kid; What's an "appleton"?
Spot lights you installed on the windshield pillars
many of them were never hooked up and they even sold ones years later that were dummy spots

Appleton spotlight
Appleton spotlights, or simply Appletons, were a common feature in early automobiles, up to the "muscle car" era. The bullet-shaped spotlights included a handle which was mounted through the side window pillar of the cab into the interior of the vehicle.Wikipedia

Don't feel bad. I'm not a kid and I was still scratching my head.

I must have hung out with the wrong group of guys when I was younger!
I was 19-20... and they were in their late 50s, early 60s ,
they were all into building anything with a motor, custom cars, Harley choppers, 4 wheeling old Jeeps and sitting around the wood stove in the middle of the garage telling stories and chasing people off. That's where I got my start
Miss them guys, all long gone

The cv shafts “hub” the end that looks like a soup can - have play in them , again.
Passenger side clunks like crazy going over bumps or ripples in the road.
new Napa remans and crown intermediate shaft in the last 3 years.

Any insight to what’s going on? What causes the play I’m experiencing. Is there a bearing or seal or bushing that could be messed up. I want to take it all apart but be nice to order some just in case parts before hand. thanks

don’t forgot those anti-static straps. But you might need to order 8 kits and tie them together

There are bearings and seals that need replaced every now and again

I just replaced all if this last weekend. The axle end of the CV had a serious amount of play. Inside the axle tube, there is a seal and plastic bushing, if it’s still original. There are bearings that can be installed, instead. National Bearing’s number is B228. Mine is now solid with minimal play.

Glad everything is all good for the inspection. I am going to do spark plugs, air filter, and cabin air filter this weekend. May rotate the tires if I can get around to it also. I'm at 174,261 miles as of today.

Found out today the 03 is Timberline Green Pearlcoat,...
well I knew that but with the snow, mud, stuff on the roads and gravel roads being real bad I almost forgot ;)
Washed it down good, started clay barring it and waxing, also some touch up underneath
